Winter Sun On Paphos Boardwalk From Pioneer Beach To Ivi Mare
Hi, this is Dominic from Pathos Life. I’m standing outside St. Nicholas Chapel. I’m not going to bother going in because seems to be quite a few people there already. I filmed there recently anyway. But I’m going to walk along a bit of the boardwalk here between Pioneer Beach and uh the Eevee Marie purely because uh they appear to be doing a lot of renovation work on the Esmeina suites. I thought I’d show you that it’s mid November, mid to late November now. Actually, I think it’s the 16th, but I could be wrong. I don’t really care to be honest. It’s Tuesday, I know that much. And it’s bright and sunny again, and I haven’t been in an earthquake for a few days. So, that’s the beach. I’m not going to walk along it because uh to respect people’s privacy. And it’s getting close to midday, so uh there’s going to be a lot of sunb, so I’ll stick to the coast path. But yes, that’s uh St. Nicholas Chapel. Can’t remember exactly when that was built. 2012 it started on course that finished 2013. There you go. And here’s Pioneer Beach Hotel. Oh, it looks lovely. Should have brought my camera with me. Definitely a few Calamara shots here. I can go back for that once I’ve done this. So I’m not sure what’s happening at the Mina, but hotels getting renovated in the offse. A fairly common occurance at Puffos. So if you book for next summer, don’t worry. I’m sure it’ll be all up and running again and extra and span because of the renovation work. Cut through here. There’s at least three cranes up there. We should be able to see what’s going on a bit more in a minute cuz the gu the grounds are all fenced off up here. It’s a good indication as to where the pine beach ends and guess begins as well. I guess that means the pyramid thing up here is going to be closed off as well. But anyway, so this is what P Asamina Swedes looks like at the moment. Now, there’s a gap in the fence here, so I could technically walk up through it, but I don’t think that would go down. Well, we have a look from here, though. So, it’s fairly extensive. I can see they put in some uh iron bars there. So, they might be sticking on at least one more level like they did at uh St. George’s in Clawa. No doubt that will become clearer as time progresses. See you can get a dec better view from where the pyramid is. There’s the lifeguard station. Flag still flying. And they got big piles of sand there. Now let’s just pan back quickly. show you the beach area. Perhaps these sand uh this sand uh pile here is basically when winter storms wash that uh sand away. If that makes any sense at all. Looking a bit tongue tied. We’ll walk through these cabanas. They haven’t got any seating in them at the moment. Presumably they’re owned by the Esamina then. Yeah. Looking at that, it’d be reasonable to say that they might even be putting in an extra two depending on how high the scaffolding goes up. I don’t know. There’ll be something to monitor. We’ll go on a bit longer. All the seating under the pyramid has been safely wrapped up. Certainly sounds like a building site now. And then you got the little unnamed beach in front of the aquamarine. Not sure I’d like that if I was having a relaxing holiday, but it’s got to be done in the off peak uh season. One of those facts really of life. So, this is the Acro Marie and I do like the gardens they have. very natural. You feel like you’re wandering around your back garden or somewhere or back garden of a well-off friend. I look at all these shadows on the walkway and the palms. I definitely have to come back with my camera. It’s got calamar all over it. Film this little kitty if I can help it. Oh, okay. I was wondering where his dad is, but he appears to be up here. Should we pan around and sunbirds outside the Eevee muy are still very much in evidence the ultra thick mattresses. This and there are people swimming in the pool still here. So I’d imagine that means it’s heated. But don’t quote me on that. Some people have got better tolerance than others. My tolerance has completely disappeared, I’m afraid, when it comes to going swimming. Right. What I’m going to do now is pretty much reach the end of where I want to go on this walk. I thought I’d walk uh to the shorefront and have a nice pan back of the little beach in front of uh Aquamarie. The sun is all ablaze in Paphos at the moment, so let’s go out and appreciate it. Starting from St Nicholas Chapel, we walk along the Boardwalk towards the Sea Front, taking in the Pioneer Beach, Asimina, Aqua Mare and Ivi Mare Hotels. The big news is that they are in the process of renovating the Asimina Suites. A new floor is being added over the winter period. We will keep you updated on this as time progresses. There is no rain forecast for the foreseeable future (next seven days) so if you are planning a late getaway then Paphos is a good place to head to!

Thanks for your great video lovely to see where I was walking. Olympic lagoon is also going to have a renovation through the winter, opening next spring. We will visit there again in 2026. Fabulous hotel been going there since 2019.
Another great walk thanks 😊😊x
I have stayed at the pioneer on 2 occasions. Lovely hotel. Amazing that you can still sunbathe in mid November!
You couldn’t have timed this video any better. I was at the ivi mare in June and always wondered what it would be like later in the year….and their pool is not heated, but is chest deep the whole length of the pool. So maybe the sun has kept it just warm enough to swim in. In June it was literally like a bath.
And I’m staying at the asimina suites next September so this was a very interesting video….and my goodness the weather looks superb right now, you lucky thing. Thanks Dominic.
