6 DAYS IN POSITANO, ITALY | AMALFI COAST | CAPRI DAY TRIP

[Music] This has been on my bucket list for so long. It’s absolutely beautiful. Look at the views from our Airbnb. We have like the Syrause Hotel like right there. The public beach. Um I can’t think of the name right now. And then we have this whole balcony to oursel. I’ll give you a quick tour of the inside. It’s a lot bigger than what showed online. Excuse our luggage. um table, fridge, kitchen, couch. We have the bedroom and like we have this view from the bedroom which is absolutely stunning. We have Macy. I’m here with my cousin Macy. We’re getting ready. We’re going to go take some photos down on Hulk Beach and then we’re going to go to Love Pragola for dinner. We also have some free champagne or Italian wine in the fridge for us. So, let me tell you about our travel day. This took three flights to get here. We left Fresno at 6:00 a.m. Dallas, Dallas to Chicago, then Chicago to Naples. We had a 1 hour, like a 1 and a half hour delay from Dallas to Chicago. Luckily, we made in time for our Naples flight and then we hired a driver to take us from Naples to Pastano about like hour 15 minutes. Our driver dropped us off at the other end of like the street we’re on. So, like if you know like Pastano is like a town built on a hill and yeah, so anyways, there were many flights of stairs. We ended up having to hire a porter to carry up all of our luggage. So, that just got delivered. Luckily, I took my makeup with me so I was able to like freshen up. That’s what Macy’s doing right now is getting ready now that our luggage just got delivered. So yeah, like I said, we’re going to go take some photos on the beach with iconic backdrop. Oh my gosh, I’ll insert a photo here if it turns out good. Um, and then go had dinner and like explore a little bit when we were on the drive-in. Um, there’s a bunch of cute little restaurants and shops I want to check out. So, I am so excited to take you along this week. We have a a full jam-packed itinerary. Just walked down to the beach. It is beautiful. The iconic Positano background. Those steps are no joke. Our legs were shaking the entire time down. Like they were like, what would you call? It’s like constantly just shaking. Like we only gone like a few flights. I don’t know. I can’t even explain it. It was a lot of stairs. Yeah. She was like, this is going to be interesting going back up drunk. Yeah. So, that was day one. Um, first time going down the stairs. Definitely no joke. Yeah, first time of many. Definitely get our exercise in. Um, we took some photos on the beach. The rocks hurt your feet. Definitely bring water shoes. I read that in many blogs and they were not lying. We were trying to get some Instagramable photos. But then there’s this like walkway right here and you get like really cute photos right here with the background. Then you have like the beach and then there’s music on the rocks up there. We’re going to go to that. It is a cave bar and we’re actually having dinner um right over there in a little bit. But I cannot get over this view. So, let’s go have our first meal in Pasatano. We just came to Blue Bar. It’s right for where our dinner reservations are. We thought we’d start off at lemon sprints while we wait for our dinner reservation. Even though it’s completely empty, we could probably walk up there. But like this bar looks cute. Blue bar, food, and cocktail bar. Show you. All right, our first lemon spritzes of the trip. Cheers. Ciao from Italy. I feel like this can get me wasted cuz I’ve eaten all day. I know. I was just thinking that. I need some food in my stomach. Oh, yeah. I think my last thing I said we stopped. Oh, wait. No, I did one. Never mind. three running on three hours of sleep. So, a few weeks ago, Macy said she’s been working non-stop to live up her last few weeks of her college days. So, I was like, crap, I need to build up my tolerance. Like, one drink gets me tipsy. I finished my lemon spritz. I’m around three hours of sleep. No food. And here’s Macy. Babysitting. She is babysitting. I’m babysitting and tipsy. Yeah. And she was a little dolphin. And they have a little chant, but I made up my own chant. Chug chug. Like a DG. We just made like an Instagram story about it. It was a lot better. But I’m just waiting on Macy to finish her. I’m sad to say I’m not a fan of lemon chill spritz. She thought she was going to be I wanted to be a fan so bad. We chose these over the after all spritzes cuz I had one afterall spritz at a baby shower and it was like a DIY afterall spritz. So I don’t even know why I made it right. But ever since then I didn’t like it. So now I feel like I need to try a true Italian one to really make up my mind. Did you like it? I loved it. Clearly. Oh, clearly. Procco. Lemonchello. Soda water. Well, I like lemon and I love procco. So, it must be the soda water. Yeah. Well, we are slowly making our way to dinner. Slowly. Very slowly. First in Italy. And we have fresh truffle coming. Yes, please. Thank you. Thank you, Jo. It is our first full day in Pasatano. We just checked in. We were waiting to go to Arenzo Beach Club, the iconic orange and white beach club here. So, we’re just waiting at this little lounge and we got an iced coffee to go. I got a croissant. It was raining here from like probably 8 to 9:30. So, we didn’t leave our Airbnb until 9:00 a.m. So, we did not have enough time to get breakfast cuz we did not want to go outside in the pouring rain. But, hopefully they’ll have some food. We do have lunch, but hopefully they have some like other food we can get before our lunch hour. But it is such a beautiful day here. The weather is like what? 68, I think. So, I would say 68. Um, and it’s actually perfect. Sometime you get down the stairs, you are sweating. I’m so glad it’s not 80°. [Music] This is good. I don’t know what it is, but it’s good. Champagne. It It’s like not really bubbly, is it? Not good. We just got to Orientto Beach Club. This place is such a vibe. It’s definitely worth the price you pay to get here. We got a boat ride over here and it’s just so iconic. It’s beautiful. We got some champagne. We have water. Um, it comes with two course lunch. We’re going to have be seated at 12:00 up there. Until then, we’re just like laying out and enjoying our time. Actually, we’re taking all the photos. We have an inspo album saved. We are taking all the photos right now. [Music] [Music] All right, we made it to lunch. It was a long 2 hours because we are starving. Do not make it for breakfast, but we got two starters. We each got the capi and then some pasta lemon ravioli which looked really good. And then I got like a basil soup. I have no idea. Thank you. [Music] All right, we just got our lunch served. Macy got the lemon revioli and I got the zucchini pasta. Cannot beat these views. [Music] appetit. [Music] All right, I just ordered lemon chalice spritz. Macy, how you feeling? I know what I ordered lemon. How are you feeling? I’m feeling good. Okay, so I ordered lemon spritz for free and then I asked by I said, “When is lemon charello hours?” And he said, “Around, right?” 4. And then he said, “Why do you want to be our lemonchello girls?” And I said, “Yes.” So, we are going to be the lemon chill girls at the pool at Orient Beach Club. Should be really fun. I also put this bandana on. It took me a few tries to get it on right, but I feel like feel like I’m digging the vibe. Okay, lunch was good and now we’re just hanging out having drinks. Yeah, I love it here. If I ever come back to when I come back to Boston, I will definitely come back to [Music] Orienzo was so much fun. Um, we got back around I think it’s like 5:00 p.m. I swear those stairs are no joke. like I work out and that was a lot. So, we’re going to take full body showers. I’m still not sure if I’m going to like wash my hair or not, but I’m definitely going to shower, wash my face cuz I’m sweating after those walk up the stairs. That’s insane. But I’m like in love with Posaton. I love it so much. Look how pretty this is. Like, how is this real? The plan for tonight is we’re going to shower, take a nap, and then go find a place for dinner. Maybe it’s just black or like walk around down near the beach, find a spot for dinner, and then go to Music on the Rocks. It’s a Friday night. The guy Javon at Orenzo said it’ll be more locals tonight or more tourists tonight which Plastano is a tourist town. Then Saturday it be more locals, Italians. Maybe I’ll go back again tomorrow. But we do have an early ferry tomorrow to Capri. So we’ll see. But I don’t know if I showed you guys like my outfit of the day. I’m wearing this like Abberrombi coverup. See here. All right. Outfit of the day. Outfit number one of the day is this abbercomi coverup. And then I have a Luluama orange bikini underneath. All right, we just got ready for dinner. I am wearing these two-piece set from Amazon. Lulu sandals and then my starfish necklace and then all of my jewelry. I will link it in the description. I love it. So, we are off to dinner and then going to Music on the Rocks, but I’m going to leave my camera here. Heat. Heat. It [Music] want everything. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] All right, we have made it to Cafe Plasatano. Yesterday we spent the whole day in Capri and we were exhausted. I do not vlog in this camera, but I got some shots in my camera so you’ll see that. on our way to a boat day on the east coast. So we stopped at coffee to get some breakfast. It’s our actually first day here actually getting breakfast. We bought the first two days without getting any breakfast. So and we have [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] This is a cave. In the cave there is the sea, there is the water because under the sea level there is a cavity that bring water and the light inside. So the tour will be on a flat boat going you sit on a flat boat and there will be a ruin entry in the cave. The tour lasts approximately 20 minutes. Okay. Emiraldo. This is natural light. Natural light from outside the tunnel underneath under the water. Four meter deep underneath under the water. Tunnel 4 m of deep 16 m long and 5 m long. from outside with the tunnel under the water. Sunlight, sea water, natural light. You look looking under the water. Look at the back. 10 minutes deep under the under the water. No vegetation rocks. The tunnel under the water The swim is fishing fishing. Beautiful color. Victoria victory. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. No, forgive my second day finally getting breakfast. [Music] [Applause] Bonjouro. I have been a horrible face vlogger on here. We have been go. Today is our fourth full day in Posano. We just went to breakfast. It was so good. I feel like so I haven’t really been that impressed with the food in Positano, but I feel like the further out you go, like the better it is. Like we’ve gotten pasta last night from the same restaurant because it was that good. Um up kind of away from our Airbnb and then we just went to a breakfast spot near that same dinner restaurant and food was great. Surface was great. Obviously when you go more down by the beach you’re kind of near the tourist traps. So food is not the true like Italian food that you hear about. I mean, it’s true, but it’s like not as good as like what you’re saying, what you would imagine it to be. And today, we’re going to like two or three trap places for lunch and dinner, but it is definitely for like the vibes, the Instagram. We’re going to Bruno for lunch and then Aldos for dinner. So, I’m not my expectations are not that high, but hopefully we’ll get some like cute photos. And I know we’ve already talked about going to that place for dinner a third time. That’s how good it is. And the service is great. So today was the very first day we actually got to sleep in on our trip. So we’ve been go go go. We had Arienzo Capri then the boat ride yesterday. So yeah, now we have our two reservations today. We’re going to take some photos, walk around. We was the first time we walked down the hill like L via Pasati. Forgive my dialect. And it was really cute down there on like that side of the hill. So, and that’s where our lunch and dinner spots are. So, we’re going to change first actually set up a little table next to the railing of our Airbnb. And we have some free sparkling wine that we got from the Airbnb and stuff because our fuse are just as good, if not better, than these expensive hotels. So, we’re going to set it up and make our own little rooftop bar, which I’m really excited about. This cute show me your mumu set on. It is hot though. She is a hot one. It is only going to be like 69 degrees today and it’s not even 10:30 and we are sweating and we didn’t even go up the full stairs. We went down to the street below us and but all right, I’m going to get this all set up for our little rooftop bar via our Airbnb. All right, so this is the balcony. We have this table or like the one I was just sitting at. So, we’re going to see. Maybe this one might be better since it’s just right here. But I think it’s going to look good. We just need like an umbrella. That would that would be ideal. [Music] [Applause] I am so excited to make our own little rooftop bar. This is such a cute idea. We’re doing the middle of the day, so it is really hot, but it’s going to be fun. Okay, come over here. Let me bring you a little closer. Okay. So, it’s like you’re part of the party. [Music] We just made it to Bruno. Hello. I’m so excited. This view is incredible. Going to get some wine, some pasta. We made reserations here at 12:30, so we got here at 12:00. I’m glad we did. All right, so we just got two pastas. I got a glass of wine. We see the linen and it’s our first reservation stop on our free day. So, I’m excited. The views here are incredible. And now we can finally look at the hill we’ve been staying on. [Music] All right, we just got our pasta. We got like the chili, olive oil. Is there anything else in here? I don’t think so. We’ll give this a taste test. So, this meal definitely beat my expectations for from what I thought it was going to be just because we pretty much booked this for the view. So, I wasn’t I didn’t have high expectations for the food, but they definitely beat them. Not as good as the same meal that I got from the restaurant the last two nights from my Airbnb, but this is still really good. What do you think, Macy? I agree. Better than I thought, but the one from last night, can’t beat that. [Music] All right, we just got to Aldo. We have this whole balcony to oursel. It is absolutely stunning out here. We just went to Franco for a quick cocktail before dinner. Now we’re trying to figure out our drink and our food menu. But this balcony is absolutely beautiful. Regular [Music] We have had such a busy but productive and great day. We but had went to breakfast at I don’t know where to go. lunch at Bruno’s. Came back, took a nap, got ready for dinner, went to dinner at no, got ready for dinner, went and had cocktails at Franco’s bar at second row. It’s beautiful. And then it was a little hot in the sun for like 15 minutes. Then the sun went behind the mountains. Felt a lot better. And then had dinner at Aldos, which was so good. We had a prey salad and a drink. And now we’re walking back. We’re going to try to find a pizza for a photo shoot tomorrow. And then we have another busy last two days, but it’s going to be fun. It’s like the viral Tik Tok Instagram famous cooking class in Positano. It’s literally on the top of the hill. It was a truck to get here. kind of scary with like the tiny roads, but we are so excited to be cooking and drinking all day. I am so excited to show you guys. Let’s go this way. This one is [Music] Luigi. Luigi Angelina, are you singles? You can touch will pick the vegetables from the garden. The same veggies that after you will cook during the class. This is my wife family business. So my boss family business. So you understand and I thought I think especially which you already understood that I am the black ship in this place. Hi Friends! I finally checked Positano, Amalfi Coast off of my bucket list and it was even more prettier in person! Everyone says it is a tourist town and while that is true, I highly recommend visiting. I know that I will visit Positano again in my future!!
