If this place is not on your list, it should be… (Southeast Asia)

[Music] Good morning, boys, and welcome day two. Technically, I guess day one since we got here at night last night in Daang, Vietnam. First time Vietnam. Super awesome. This place has been on my list for a very long time. Ever since I landed, the only thing repeating in my head is, “Hello, you have girlfriend Vietnam.” If you get that reference, you’re a real one. So far, first impressions, one beach and weather right now kind of reminds me of California, which is super weird being in Asia, but I like it. A few people that I know that have been here recently were very divisive. It’s one of those places I feel like people say they either love it or they hate it. So far, I really dig it. Um, our hotel’s nice. It’s in a great spot. Had some good food last night. Not really sure what’s on the docket today. Usually first day when I go somewhere, I’m kind of just going with the flow. I don’t really know what we’re going to do yet, but we’re going to do it. Got my buddy John with me from the States. He’s uh he’s been here for a couple weeks already. He’s been running all over. Pretty much been everywhere already. So, uh I’m not sure what we’re going to get into. We’re kind of just getting the lay of the land right now. But, of course, you’re going to come with us. [Music] [Music] One thing I’m definitely digging so far, there’s actual waves. Sounds like the ocean, smells like the ocean. Don’t get me wrong, I love Thailand. The Gulf is super pretty, especially down south. But waves are cool, man. I uh I actually noticed it like right when I walked out of the airport here. Just smelled like a uh I was going to make a fish joke there, but I I think I’ll leave that one alone. [Music] All right. Well, breakfast/ lunch/brunch. Uh, that was good. So, had two meals here. So far, both have been great. That place we were just in, I just got like a normal breakfast. Bacon, sausage, all that stuff. John got a burger and it came out to like 18 bucks total for both of us. Got a milkshake and too. Absolutely gas right there. So, it’s cheap. So, that that’s rad. If you know, you spend time in Thailand, beef is usually super pricey. So, good so far. Uh, we just spun around, kind of took a look at everything. Got to go back. Got to charge you guys up for a little bit. And then, uh, we’ll see what we get into. Still pretty early. It’s only like noonish, so nothing but time. [Music] Heat. Hey, Heat. [Music] What’s up, guys? Welcome back. So, we went back to the hotel earlier. We both fell asleep, but we rallied, got some coffee. Uh, now we’re here down here by the river, just exploring down here by the dragon bridge. Kind of split by the river essentially out there on the beach. It’s kind of like an island, dude. Oh my god, sketchy. Welcome to Asia. I’m going down here, man. Welcome to Asia. handicap access. One thing I have noticed so far about here is uh everything seems real accessible. They’ve got like the bumps on the sidewalks and stuff so people that are uh blind can know where they’re going. Ramps and stuff for handicap access. So that’s super cool. Um over 6 ft access is a little little more sketchy though. I had to go down here. [Music] I’ll tell you guys what, getting a a little break from the heat has been nice. Um, it just goes to show how much I’ve acclimated to Thailand weather at this point. It’s probably like 75° here right now. Relatively perfect weather. And I could honestly be wearing a jacket. I’m thinking about buying one if I see one, which is pretty wild to think about. But it makes sense. Look at this place on the map. You know, definitely quite a bit cooler, which is really nice, at least this time of year. [Music] Welcome [Music] to Asia. Laughing gas on the menu. Funky ball 150K. The nitrous oxide or laughing gas was discovered by Dr. Priestley who was produced it by abstracting a part of the oxygen from the nitric oxide. It’s named laughing gas on account of the very exhilarating emotions produced in those who respire it for a short time. laughing, dancing, jumping, acting and reciting. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] All right, boys. Uh, day two Vietnam, right? Uh, I’ll tell you, we’re three, three for three, four for four, something like that on food right now. We just hit up a brew haha beer. Can you see it right there? This place is I feel like it’s definitely owned by American. Super good food, super good beer, as you could probably tell. Um, it’s about that time. Uh, I think we’re about to call it a night. I will see you guys tomorrow. We got some good going on tomorrow. So, I will see you then.

Welcome to Day 2 in Da Nang, Vietnam adventure! Honestly I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I try not to expect a lot from new places but Vietnam and Da Nang has been amazing so far. Da Nang is a must-visit destination in Vietnam in my opinion!

  1. Something completely fvcking random, but I'm from Pennsylvania.
I went to Priestley School for Kindergarten and used to drink with Joeseph Priestley's great great grandson when I got older.
He was in his 80s or 90s at the time. He used to get drunk and yell "Let's all head downtown and get some BJs!"
Hilarious that Dr. was responsible for laughing gas too.
