What is it Like to Walk Through Historic Bethlehem PA at Christmas Time in 4K and 60 FPS?
Gary’s tour fans this is a tour of the very Colonial section of uh it’s a walking tour of the colonial very Colonial area of Bethlehem look down this street you’ll see hous look very very Colonial the way they’re designed the uh third floor Windows coming out the way they do uh the lack of porches in the front uh the size and length of the windows these are basically houses that look like they were built during the colonial time you can also get as you see here from the sun and a Museum tour and museum sites where they have Carriage rods that will pick you up you can ride around a carriage which might not be a bad thing to do rather this time of year at Christmas time this is the place where they pick you up so these are these look like relatively old homes and they seem to be built in a colonial manner I’m reminded of actually Colonial willamsburg when I look at these houses this of course has being brought you in 4k and 60 frames per second the best highest quality you can get with our iPhone 15 Pro Max and this is the daytime version of this walking tour we’re also going to offer you a nighttime version of it as well with the lights that are lighted here many of the things particularly this time of year come to life at night we’re also in future videos going to be covering a German food test they have which takes place primarly at night now this is the main street the historic Main Street of Bethlehem this is the public library building here straight ahead of us and below that is underground parking center the missile building is adjacent to it that’s Police Headquarters and underne underground there are police cars [Music] and government Municipal cars this is the uh book main books book branch and at this Branch they have occasionally Book Sales where you can do very well getting some relatively inexpensive books as you say police department Library Town Hall Public Safety city hall building it’s all in one let’s take a look at this because the sun is on the right just the right angle for us beautiful blue sky today look at those buildings hard for me to date the age we’re going to look for the age of some of these buildings as we walk down here bethlehem’s a really cool City I think particularly if you’re a history buff like I am I’m walking on the Shady Side stre because I want you to be able to see the sun lighting up these buildings beautifully really cool architecture I like it a lot and you really at this location probably about an hour from Manhattan maybe an hour hour and a half depending upon how you drive so you’re close to Manhattan and some of the prices here may well reflect that there’s very good colleges and universities maravian universities here uh I believe Lehigh in this area as well yeah looks like a typical building that building on the corner you see in Colonia lburg three stories typical house some of these places actually have the date they were built which we’ll take a look at stet now the Arabian mu uh museum is down here too which I’d like to go to sadly they’re not open today they have a lot of older houses there buil installed inan shoes look at see Brick work on this house notice how there’s a lack of uniformity in the in the Stone work that’s done there some stones are big some stones are little as we walk I’m looking for anything that tells me how old these buildings are here buildings on my side of the street look going to get some if I see anything that gives me an age of these buildings I will assure you I will look for it now see here’s the buildings on my side of the street I don’t see anything reflecting an actual date the same type of buildings they have on the first floor usually 12 15t ceilings and a second floor for housing for beds beautiful houses that see you see this beautiful lighted up at night with candles they have Angels on the windows at least an angel in one window like the candles outside to all different size stones in the construction of this house no dates that I can see yet I’m looking Christmas tree in that house too this is Moravian University [Music] beautiful door Joy that’s what used to be fun to look at at night they all candles in the window this is part this these buildings may be part of Moravian University I’m not sure says this is the Central Moravian Church office building and that’s probably the Moravian Church over there if I had to guess but it’s a really nice place here and well worth a visit if your time perit it’s well worth a good place to come to let’s see what we find over here see what this building is there’s a tour group going in here and this is cist house erected in 1741 first place of worship in Bethlehem and was on the second floor count Von zimor had Quarters here in 1742 place of many notable conferences in the colonial period see we get past the bus that’s probably worth looking at but not today it’s too nice a day to be inside looking a museum tours tickets and information this way you get a tour of historic Bethlehem right here there’s a tell staying the door and Colonial Tire ready to give you the tour well Gary’s tour fans this will conclude our journey into Bethlehem during the day it be more fun to do the same walk at night and see what lights are available look at the rock formation too look how they use little rocks big rocks over size rocks I don’t know if this looks
