Voyager seule en Zambie : dans quoi je m’embarque encore ?

The pubulture long. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. [Music] My name is Alex Jakanan. So I’m the founder of Tusle Trusty School here in Mok village. So our village it has uh 864 people live in the village. I came up with this uh project because uh our kids are walking long distance from here to go to Smonga which is about 5 kilometers in on the way going to Simonga there is some elephant especially this time and also we have some traffic around so this is what has been touched me to open the school here in the village I’ve been uh stopped working like to help the community In 2020 when we open we had uh 10 students. Okay. Then by this time we have 115 kidsow coming to school. So which is nice. Yeah. All these have been built with tourists who are coming like people when they sleeping in here in the village like from the traditional house the money as I said area it goes to the school. Yeah. So you said the name of the people living here is Loi. Yeah, they are people. So it’s one of the 70 tribes that are in Zambia. In Zambia. Yes. Okay. Loi. Yeah. When as you go to western part of Zambia, this is where the Loi people are coming from. But where we are here, it’s a southern province for the Tonga tribe. But now we are like mixed tribe. There’s Tonga tribe and took and do you get along with other tribes? It’s it’s okay between everyone or sometimes there are conflict. Uh no we by this time we don’t have that from the palm tree fruit. Oh yeah. So they just open it open it and they have to eat this one time. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I don’t Foreign [Music] [Music] So this is how we cook the okla. That’s the okla the one which I was talking about. So when we have people around we have to show them like how we cook okla. Okay. So they more interesting of uh when they go back home maybe they can buy some then they they eat. Nice. Someone was telling me to say I’m still cooking joint. So what what’s your name? Mary. Mary? Yes. Okay. I’m Olivia. walking. So, you start with a plastic bag, but it’s not plastic, but it she’s using the sack. Oh, yeah. Okay. Like this one. And then this is tissue. The This is the clothes which we wear. If you have a lot of things which is like damaged home then you can just bring it to her then she can also make the door. Okay. Yeah. Sometimes you can make like a heart. Oh yeah. Instead of like throwing some of the then just picking. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You can reuse so many things. Yes. But sometimes you don’t think about it. You just throw it away and then 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. So, how do you say thank you in your language? Fore! Foreign! Foreign! [Music] Mom and dad. Make a week. Next week. Monday, Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday, Wednesday, day, Thursday, school day, Friday, school day, Saturday and Sunday. Day and Sunday. I cut the boat. I cut the boat. I cut the ball. I put it here. I put it here. And you I feel better. And you I feel better. [Music] Up. Sideways. Down. Forward. Up. Sideways. Down. Down. One more. We are the world. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye. [Applause] [Music] Let’s go and meet the right guy. Thought it wasn’t our time. I love you till the day that I die. Hello. Hello. How are you? Fine. Fine. Where are you going? I’m going to the border. The border. I just want to check on your vehicle as well as your driving license. Yeah. You have the Zambian insurance or any other insuranceances? Yeah. Yeah. says they don’t turn. It’s a beautiful car. Thank you very much. Okay. I go all around Africa with it. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, that’s beautiful. Have a nice day. Thank you. [Music] Living stone. [Music] So this is the town market as you can see. So I will take you through. Yeah. Usually they selling clothes from um from from South Africa, Tanzania, Lusaka. It’s not that big from that corner to where we started from. So we’ve just stretched we’ve diverted a little bit but uh it’s not that big. I love my I love Livingston Town. It’s it’s it’s not crowded like uh the other places like um Lusaka. Lusaka is congested because it’s been a capital city and also the other places don’t even have the infrastructure that Livingstone has. One louder. [Music] Underprivileged and privileged ones are in the ghetto because the ghetto is a place of survival and hope. Yeah. Because there’s room to to like develop. Yeah. Yeah. Than being in the state house or palace. But here people has to use that knowledge to create jobs. Okay. So do you want to introduce yourself to the star? For real? Yeah. For real? Yeah. Yeah. Who who are you? My name is Luca, the visual artist from uh Zambia. And I’m here in Livingston, the tourist capital, making painting at this Caribbean bar which is yet to be opened. Just making decorations now and machines and paintings. Yes. Yeah. And so what what did you tell me about Ubuntu spirit? I really loved what you said. Ubuntu. Yeah. What is Ubuntu for Ubuntu is about you know togetherness, harmony, peacefully living together. Yes. You need to have that heart of uh we want to Yeah. sharing and caring. But it’s a ghetto for me. Yeah. But when when you say ghetto, is it something positive for you or is it something negative? It’s positive for me because these are places where there’s still room for uh diversification. Yeah. Because uh what can you do in areas that are developed? Nothing. But when you’re here, you can you can change the narrative. You can stretch your hand and and bring in an idea, an ideology, an innovation from the get like the way Lita is being just thrown anyhow. So there is there’s need to to create awareness. We’re usually going to be talking about these things and you we teach the young ones on how to, you know, maintain nature because it’s the future. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. Okay. Here we are. We are back back home. Back home. Now we have to dash to the to the river and see if we can chance some peoples or elephants or anything of that nature. Okay. Yeah. Let’s go. Okay. Let’s go. When we’re coming. Yeah. Yeah. We hope maybe change open. [Music] [Music] Foreult episode. again. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Like the world Hallelujah. [Music] I am [Music] happy. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music]
