Das Kieler Weihnachtsdorf besticht mit jeder Menge Authentizität, Originalität und Gastfreundschaft. Die nach skandinavischer Holzhausarchitektur gestalteten Hütten machen den Rathausplatz zu einem festlich gestalteten Dorf. Auf dem historischen Karussell von 1900 findet jede*r einen Platz auf einem der liebevoll gestalteten Pferde, Kutschen oder Figuren.
Zudem gibt es dieses Jahr wieder ein Glockenspiel mit Wichtelparade. Jeweils zur vollen Stunde drehen die Wichtel von Tür zu Tür ihre Runden – gemeinsam mit dem aus Holz gefertigten Hein Daddel, dem THW Zebra-Maskottchen. Untermalt wird die Wichtel-Runde mit Musik des Glockenspiels.
Die hell erleuchtete 12,5 m hohe Weihnachtspyramide ist ein beliebtes Fotomotiv und gemütlicher Treffpunkt.
Kulinarisch reicht die Bandbreite von internationalen Bratwurstspezialitäten bis zu einem stetig wachsenden Angebot an vegetarischen und veganen Speisen. Ein Kassenschlager ist jedes Jahr der große Pommesstand mit vielen Kartoffelvariationen, schmackhaften Soßen und ausgefallenen Toppings, wie beispielsweise Raclettekäse.
Auch wer noch ein Geschenk sucht, wird hier fündig werden. Auf diesem kleinen, gemütlichen Weihnachtsmarkt gibt es viel zu entdecken.
The Kiel Christmas Village captivates visitors with its authenticity, originality, and hospitality. The huts, designed in the Scandinavian wooden house style, transform the town hall square into a festively decorated village. On the historic carousel from 1900, everyone can find a place on one of the lovingly designed horses, carriages, or figures.
This year, there will also be a glockenspiel with an elf parade again. Every hour on the hour, the elves make their rounds from door to door – together with Hein Daddel, the THW Zebra mascot made of wood. The elf parade is accompanied by music from the glockenspiel.
The brightly lit 12.5-meter-high Christmas pyramid is a popular photo opportunity and a cozy meeting place.
