Brick Lane & Market Tour (London)

welcome to my tour of brick Lan and its markets located in sh ditch East London it is home to hundreds of stores selling all sorts of stuff from food to antiques to clothes Brooklyn has it as usual the thing that I’m most looking forward to is the food so let’s go and try us out brick Lan is famous for its bagel shops there’s another one here this part of Brick Lane is full of shops actual shops along the street and Market stores selling lots of clothes which I’m behind let’s get back to the front of them go through here oh sorry thank you here we are we have military gear and Red Coats interesting H made soaps and candles this part of London is really vibrant it’s food everywhere it’s probably the best place in East London for food it’s also extremely busy we’re heading down to the bottom of this road to get to the up Market which is the place where the street food is eyeball camera heart let’s see what we got oh wow look at that look how long that lens is imagine walking around with that trying to trying to [Music] Vlog just old telescopes it’s a Sund Di [Music] he said no filming but we got some film with it anyway I don’t know why a lot of places don’t like you filming I get I understand why the counterfeit places don’t like you to film but they’re just telescopes and stuff so I don’t understand it now we start getting towards the street food park there someone playing chess chess for free food out of a black [Music] cup that looks good Turkish delight I think there’s so much food here the smell is unreal and it’s going to be extremely hard to decide what to eat TR try yeah I’ll try it yep what one’s this chicken chicken it’s good is that mint sauce Trey what’s that beetro what yes that’s good that it’s good yum yum the reason why brick Lan has such good food it’s because over the centuries there’s been so many different communities of immigrants moving towards Brick Lane and it just creates an amazing space for food cuin from all over the world located on one street so it it’s really amazing and we’re literally down the road from splitter Fields Market which I’ve already filmed so go check that out [Music] that Wen the Main Street F part though there’s actually a inside Market with loads of stores so we’re going to head there but that’s where we’re head [Music] now vintage shopping [Music] I didn’t realiz today [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] good music so this street is actually quite long as you can see we’re still going down it all the way to the end um this part of short ditch is made up of multiple markets as I said just down the road you got spitter fields which is quite large you got the up Market down here you got some other markets I forgot their names but yeah there’s lots to see and do around it you could spend the whole afternoon we still want to we got a club to the left here which I think you need a tickets to enter I’m not entirely sure how much it is but I know that it tends to sell out pretty [Music] quick on the left here we have the clothes Market the backyard Market that’s what it’s called let’s see what stools we got over here brick Clan so the reason it’s called brick Clan is because this part of London they used to make bricks so they named it after that because they used to make bricks t rooms [Music] [Music] you can see it’s really busy down there Dr [Music] Dr thank you and here is the backyard mark kid got some [Music] art hi guys smoking Pia oh my God yeah these are cool these are old stamp [Music] makers so this part of the market isn’t actually that big but still [Music] cold o there perfumes maybe [Music] like second hand clothes these are good [Music] B the train one’s [Music] good we are around this corner here just above Liverpool Street [Music] origami earrings they made orami that’s [Music] coolon let’s head out of it now and go to the food [Music] place you could spend so long just going through all the stores there’s just so much to see but I don’t want to be shoving the camera in everyone’s face especially since some of the market Traders don’t actually want to be on camera if you remember when I went to B market if you saw that video the security card actually told me to stop filming but luckily that was at the end when it already had all the content so yeah markets can be a strange one oh that looks good what else we got [Music] dumplings hot dogs cool [Music] dogs Brazilian chrs Lebanese food no I do like Lebanese food when I was we that’s crazy what’s in here Vintage Market oh forign [Music] [Music] buy one slow and high so I waited I over here we’ve got some broccoli broccoli Lane just broccoli and we are back where we went into the Vintage Market again that market has quite a lot of parts to go down and it’s very busy especially walking around the camera at arms length and this is probably the best part of the market in my opinion the food market up Market it’s a Mexican straight away looking [Music] delicious Ethiopia never tried Ethiopian food I think it’s [Music] good too [Music] Singapore try it you try it what one’s this cage carif it’s nice yeah really good Asian Chinese Japanese what else we got sh thank amazing 7 9 that’s nice that’s very nice something um I’m going to look around and then decide okay but very good thank you [Music] oh look around first it smells good though seos strawberry from chocolate ice cream there is literally every cine that you can think C and look it’s the entrance to the Vintage Market so you can actually go in there and come out in here which I didn’t know brazillion food Korean [Music] Cuba that’s different so I’ve decided to go to a Sri Lankan place where I’m getting l m Cari with rice £8 for medium milk and it looks good I tried a little taster and it was good we got some Dal so this is what the food looks like we’ve even got some Poppa done with it and some chili I’ve put the po it on to the sides so you can actually see the curry the lamb mutton the Dal and the chili that’s great a bit of chili with [Music] it that was up market and I had a m curry with some D and it was it was delicious Shri Lankan style I guess cuz it was a Shri Lankan store behind me is a few more few places and this tour probably didn’t cover all of the market because there are so many streets you can go down and alleys and bits on the insides that we would have missed I think it was a good overview of what the market is and what it looks like we are heading back towards the station I’m going to High Street Station to jump on the overground that was The Brick Lane tour and I hope you enjoyed it if you did check out my other Market Tours and make sure to subscribe and I’ll see you next time when I

  1. Wow, that place is an absolute labyrinth! I could see finding some cool shop there once then never being able to find it there again! Thanks for the great tour, J!
