LOVED my lunch at Odo yesterday. What a beautiful, quaint restaurant. I was worried it would be bland because I had heard kaiseki could be, this really wasn’t. It does goes for a clean/simple set of flavors but not in a dull way. The broth in the second picture/course was deeply flavorful and multi-layered. The more I drank, the more I noticed about it. I’ll probably remember it for a while.
I’m ridiculously bad at remembering what ingredients are in dishes, and Odo didn’t provide a menu with them listed. The first picture was tofu, uni and truffles. The second was some kind of a firm white fish in broth. In the third picture, the fish is mackerel and in the small dish was a delicious hairy crab and spinach concoction that was perhaps my favorite bite of the day. The meat in the 4th dish was wagyu.
Good meal, and a good bit of food for $150. Will happily go back
