Also known as White Lake, Lac Blanc is a beautiful high-altitude lake over 
3,460 feet (1,055 m), surrounded by fir trees, covering 71 acres (29 ha).

Parc de Merlet is a family-friendly animal park just 20 minutes by train from Chamonix.
