【ルーブル美術館】フランス公認ガイドとミニツアー in Louvre Night | Vlog
The Louvre, with its 35,000 works of art on display and nearly 30,000 visitors a day. Most visitors come primarily to “see the Mona Lisa.” I hope this video shows you that the €22 entrance fee is truly worth it. Here’s Café Marly, whose terrace is very popular, even without going inside the museum. Tea break with the “Egyptian Night” infusion, an original creation of the Louvre. This is a “Louvre Night” vlog, on a Friday when the museum stays open later and there are sometimes fewer people. I’m an assistant guide at a Japanese agency in Paris, and I have some basic knowledge of the Louvre. I’d like you to discover the true value of the artworks and their hidden stories. So you leave with something other than “a quick photo” or “it was too crowded.” So here’s a vlog of a nighttime guided tour, thanks to my colleague, an official guide. With S, an engaging, discreet, and cheerful guide: listen closely to our conversation. Photo in front of the pyramid, then we avoid the always crowded main entrance. Thanks to S., we enter through a magical entrance, without waiting. The advantages of a guide are numerous! I suddenly decided to go through the special David exhibition. David’s calling card, with remarkably beautiful embossing. I wish I had one like that too! There are five versions of “Bonaparte Crossing the Alps,” but not all are by David himself. Two identical paintings, but different colors: the man’s hat, the woman’s dress… and the impression changes completely. The three versions of *The Death of Marat* are exhibited together. Seeing them side by side reveals how much the expression changes. Here is the one attributed to David himself. The skin, the light, the expression… everything is radically different from the other two. One of my favorite paintings: *Madame Récamier*. Juliette Récamier fascinated Napoleon and all the men of her time. Here is *Bonaparte Crossing the Great St. Bernard Pass*, which is normally located at the Château de Malmaison. We’re moving on to the permanent collections. If you’ve been here before, this place will surely ring a bell. It’s not just a simple underpass. It’s an important place that reveals a part of Paris’s history. We’re currently walking inside the very moat of the Louvre Palace. These little hearts aren’t graffiti. They served as billing marks for the stonemasons of the time. Seeing it head-on? That’s a beginner’s perspective 👎🏻 Under the skirt of Athena, the Greek goddess…? (laughs) I’ve discovered a new way to appreciate Greek sculpture. Was this really the body of ancient men? Those abs are impressive! A memory from before Covid: private tours of the Louvre with a major agency. Will that ever come back…? This boat, does it come with it? This boat was actually made thirty years ago. Before that, it was… uh… really damaged. It broke… This wing is the original, isn’t it? So, we’re not filming the other side? (laughs) But to keep a little magic… these days… OH! A wooden reinforcement! The right hand of Victory. This is the site of the great event that shook France in 2025. Closed… There would be nothing left to see or fly, would there? Since the Apollo Room is closed, let’s console ourselves with this beautiful night view. Now let’s move on to Italian painting, starting with a fresco by Botticelli. It’s not really my style, but it’s an Italian masterpiece. *Saint Francis Receiving the Stigmata*, by Giotto. Saint Francis’s cheeks are rosy! At night in the Louvre, the iPhone gets no signal… It’s pitch black! El… da Vinci? Uh… yes… (laughs) Of course… we can’t see a thing! So… here we are at last. Still the crowds… and watch out for pickpockets! Many of you were probably disappointed to only be able to see the Mona Lisa from a distance… Even from afar, even from any angle, she always catches your eye… and smiles at you. There are still a thousand wonders to come, but we’ll stop here for today. Did you enjoy this little Louvre Night vlog? And which work impressed you the most? For a sequel or another museum, leave me a message! Thank you so much for watching the video until the end. See you soon for the next Paris vlog! 2:34:00.000,1193:02:47.295 David’s business card, with remarkably beautiful embossing. I’d love to have one like that too!
