I did the writing for that for their UK store on Amazon. That’s my little claim to fame. I don’t know where we are now. It looks like a supermarket. It is a supermarket. It’s clearly a supermarket. We’re going through it. I just don’t know what we’re doing in here. Do it to get to the other side. Where are we going? Through the supermarket. It’s on the other side. Kettle salt and vinegar kettle chips. Grab some of those later on. So, we’re going to the other side. Just like that, we’re here. Back to the supermarket because we took the wrong entrance. The sat took us to the back and they’ve got a nice fancy entrance. Dream Lab. Dream Lab on it, but apparently that’s not the right way in these gift hampers. I have to go in there later on. Purveyors of pre-owned books. I do like a good book, even though I never get time to read any. I’ve got a backlog of about 30 books at home. Going up the escalator. You got it. Yeah. Well done. This is the time where I’m not afraid. Maybe that rude fashion guy owns that clothing brand. There it is. Sa off you go then. She’s here. I know it’s not. It’s a joke. Surely if the supermarket’s there then it should be maybe. or if it’s down there to the left. Who knows? I’m just filming a walking tour of this shopping mall. Anyone that wants to come to what’s this one called? Bikati Circuit Mall. Ayala activity center. Pen shopping. These are the shops that we have in Boho. Got a pen shop. They’re everywhere. A Benson. It’s slime making, which is one of the things that I can’t stand. The kids seem to love it. Here you go. So I can mix to mix it all the way down. I am mixing this slime. How’s it going? Let’s have a look. It’s turning into slime. Use my hands. Oh, like you’re making some bread. Oh yeah. Get in those hands. Get those. It smells nice as well. It’s sweet strawberry. This needs a bit more activator. Think it needs a bit more activator. All right. And so if you got kids that like slime, this is definitely the place to come. Dizzy now. Wow. Look at your hands. Yeah, it’s like It’s like paint. It is painting it. It’s not even coming off. What have you just added? What have you just had added to it? Activator. It makes it like come to stick together a bit more. So, it’s not going to be stuck to your hands like it is now. Yes. The glue is sticky, but it’s it stick it doesn’t stick together cuz it just goes into glue like this. So, that’s what activator does. It just makes it a bit more like kind of not gluey. makes it into more slime. It’s coming together a bit more. Just make it a little less stickier. 5 minutes later. This cat’s wearing a jacket. That one, too. These cats have been out on the town. Those cats have passed out. They definitely do not shy away from the Christmas decor here. I mean, just that one street, there’s more lights, more decorations down that one strip than there would be in the entirety of Chelton. It looks like we’re exiting the Christmas light area. I actually thought that said Pew Cup coffee then. Pew coffee. There’s Madame Ra. What do we have here? The orange bucket. I’m sorry. The orange bou What is that? The orange bouquet. What is that? I like trying new things, but I like to know what’s in it. And if I found out I was eating like lung or a heart, I I would freak out. I don’t like anything with bone in either. I don’t eat meat on the bone. No, I think I think shore. I think Sarah is eating schwarma. Some kind of vegetarian schwa. Or if you like, we have another choice. French fries. French sandwich. Not to be confused with Pew Cup coffee, which is what I thought it was originally. Looks like the Indian curry van is not open. Thank you, Salamad. Namaste. Do you miss that very English dish? The what? I do miss that very English dish of the curry. The very English curry dish. Yeah. Or the very English dish that is curry. Either way, I miss it. Colonel busy in the colonel cuz he’s fingerlicking good. But the chicken the chicken not the colonel. Shameful. I know. I could have had that fresh Mongolian food instead. I went for Popeye’s. I had to try it. It had to be done. I had to compare it to Popeye’s in the UK. But how about we should try this place, however, some point. Before we go, I’d like to go here. A limited Korean galby and barbecue. I’ve never had a hot pot. Can you hold on to your thing? Hello there, Madame Aurora. I like to try vegetarian hot. I like to try this place. Trying to have a look at the menu, but as in typical Amy fashion, she’s walked off just casually walking by filming everybody stuff in their faces, shoveling food into their mouths. And there’s me with my camera. Okay, and then that concludes our tour of the town. Well, the street that we walked up. So, on that note, it’s bedtime for us. Ciao for now. Not from Pango. So, who’s the best? If anyone knows what a penny is, put it down. Yes. If you know what a penny suga is. Peninsula. I know.

🧪 Family Fun in Manila | Kids’ Science Play at SciScape & Christmas Lights in Newtown

In this episode of Panglao Life, our British family spends the day exploring Manila with our two children, Sirena and Aurora. We travel to Ayala Circuit Mall in Makati City to visit SciScape by DreamLab, a hands-on science play centre designed for curious kids. Sirena dives straight into making colourful slime, experimenting with textures and colours, while both girls enjoy the interactive zones and the huge ball pits — the perfect indoor activity for families visiting Manila.

Later that evening, we head out into the city to explore Newtown’s Christmas lights, enjoying the festive decorations and nighttime atmosphere. We walk through the night market, browse the food stalls, and try to decide what to eat. Sirena chooses a vegetarian shawarma from a local stall, while I debate whether to try the Mongolian grill — but ultimately decide to save that adventure for another day.

This vlog captures a mix of family travel, kids’ activities, and Manila nightlife, giving a real look at what it’s like to explore Makati with young children while living in the Philippines.

  1. I know you guys just signed a lease but are you dead set on living in the province of Bohol? Looks like your eldest is really enjoying herself in the big city, there's just so much more activities for the kids (and adults too). Living the province life is just a little too slow I think for a young family.

  2. If they can’t give you a receipt when you ask for it, demand a refund and walk in for free. That only makes sense if the sign came from the Bureau of Internal Revenue, lol.

  3. That Korean BBQ looked great. Would have been my choice too. Cheap too.

I’ll be spending Christmas with my daughter and her husband in England. They moved there from the states this summer for his work.
