Cap d’Antibes – A Summer Drive at Sunset | Antibes, Cote d’Azur, France
(4K, 2025) A spectacular car drive at sunset around the Cap d’Antibes peninsula at Antibes – Juan-les-Pins, Cote d’Azur, South of France, in late June 2025, filmed from my GoPro mounted on the dashboard of our Audi Q3 hire-car. This is always number one on my list of things to do when visiting Antibes. It is such a breathtaking beautiful and scenic place, and it leaves such a big “wow” impression every time. Cap d’Antibes (Cape Antibes) is a peninsula located at Antibes and Juan-les-Pins on the Cote d’Azur, stretching out into the Mediterranean Sea. Its a very exclusive address, and has many luxurious holiday homes, including one owned by Elton John, and very frequently visited by celebrities. I should say that I was not staying here! The video starts in the heart of the beautiful Antibes Old Town at Place du Général de Gaulle, from where we make our way down towards the sea-front beaches. Via Pointe de l’Îlette, we pass Ponteil Beach and head over to just the start of Juan-les-Pins, where we make our way onto the Cap for a drive around in an anti-clockwise direction. From the first part we are generally looking South-West, where you can see the city of Cannes in the distance across the water. We then cut through the inland part, passing the famous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, considered one of the most luxury hotels in the World. On the opposite side, my favourite part is at Pointe Bacon on Boulevard de Bacon, where you can see across the Baie des Anges (Bay of Angles) to the City of Nice, and back towards Antibes Old Town. As leave the Cap and arrive back in Antibes, we pass the Salis beaches, we end up back where we started at Pointe de l’Îlette near Ponteil Beach.
