Hi everyone! My name is Maryna and I’m a walking fanatic who has been fortunate enough to walk around some of the most amazing places in the world. Today, join me in a virtual walk around Petra, Jordan.
Petra is a famous archaeological site in Jordan’s southwestern desert. Dating to around 300 B.C., it was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom. Accessed via a narrow canyon called Al Siq, it contains tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs, earning its nickname, the “Rose City.” Its most famous structure is Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate, Greek-style facade, and known as The Treasury. This was an awesome walking tour! I like the little tidbits of knowledge that pops up at the bottom. If I ever go there with family, they're going to be shocked about how familiar I am with Petra 😂
