Japan Trip – VLOG 6
[music] Hey guys, how you doing? Uh so today we are in Kaboiko and uh this is the place where um the Yakuza games were based like the main streets and everything. Uh so I’m going to have a wonder around and see if I’ll uh I’ll recognize any of the uh any of the places. Um but uh one of the streets already looks quite familiar. Um so I’ll uh I’ll take you guys about and uh we’ll see we’ll see what’s here. I mean, this this street itself I’ve seen quite a few times on even on YouTube and people wondering through. I’m used to seeing it like at the night time. I might stay until the nighttime area and see what the area is like cuz uh I’ve had like a few pictures and stuff and uh it’s and plus playing the Echo games as well. You can tell it’s like it’s lit up really nicely in some places. Let’s see. I think I would recognize I came out a little bit later as well today just to um just so I’m like not out all day especially if I’m going to stay here till later as well just to check out over here the night time scene. So, I feel like I’ve always been out in the daytime um in town and stuff. So, I’m going to try being out in the night and uh see what is like that family right now. There’s a lot of like bars and clubs and uh all sorts of stuff. Oh, this is very random layout. It’s like I just bought a bunch of vacuums like let’s just place them all here. Not sure what it is as well. So something smells really funny around here. Hey guys, I’m back. Um, so I’ve asked for some directions. Uh, yeah, did the thing. And uh, yeah, it’s uh, it’s not possible. So, let’s go. I’m not sure everyone knows as well um just a [clears throat] few days ago the new update for iPhone came out and um if you have the iPhone 15 or above uh as well as uh AirPods Pro I think it’s two upwards. Um it comes with the uh language um conversation now which is the beta version but it works quite well um so far. So, you just pop it in like a you open like the transit app that comes with the iPhone and um and you put it in conversation mode. It’s like a a fluent back and forth conversation with the person. So, uh, you select the language that you’re speaking, then you select the language that the other person’s speaking, and if you have your AirPods in, it’ll just, um, uh, it’ll just translate everything at both parties the same. Uh, and it’ll appear on the phone, but you can also, um, play it back for the person you’re speaking to as well. and when they’re speaking to you, um, whatever they’re saying goes on your iPhone screen, but it also comes through your AirPods um, in English as well. So, it’s a it’s a really nice new update. Um, and it’s literally updated like a few days ago. So, just in time, like while I’m still in Japan, you know. So, that’s cool. It’s made conversations a lot easier with some people as well cuz uh yeah, my Japanese not had a chance to kind of learn it. I’m not like we language. It’s just a little bit of crap here in there. Check some places and stuff. We love a little boy. Stop more of the of the zero station. Don’t touch. over there. This area. Yeah, that’s a full cinema. I press the cream. [music] If I’m right, further up behind me, there’ll be like an arcade on my on my left, I think. Like I said, it’s been a good while since the whole concept of the game is uh not really uh real with a fight breaking out every every two seconds. I’m like, “Shit, I’m out of here.” It’s not supposed to eat. Check out Spring Highway. >> Yeah. If anyone hasn’t seen Infinity Pass part one yet, I recommend going to see that. So much uh emotion. That’s all I’ll say. >> Oh, wow. So I kind of decide where I’m going to go cuz I don’t be walking in front of people and stuff. It is excellent quality as well. I’m trying to find a sign uh to see if it allows recording. Uh as you can see from the distance there’s the B head. Uh I’m going to have a closer look at that. Um cuz apparently every now and again the uh little a little like happens with the head spires like closer. Okay. Yeah. I’m going to stop it there and uh be back later. Uh, and um, yeah, all the lights are up and uh, you can’t really tell cuz the uh, how bright the um, the lights are, but uh, yeah, it is uh, it is dark now. So, I’m going to take you around for a little bit. Um, just have a look at everything. Um, I was thinking with uh the the Toho Cinema like right in front of me. Um, I might actually go and see if there’s anything to to watch tonight. Uh, but yeah, we’ll see what happens. But, um, yeah, I’m going to take her around now. Okay. Here we go. >> All right. And Godzilla’s all lit up now. >> Hopefully that looks uh better in the uh video when I see it cuz uh obviously I’m looking at a little screen right now. So Godzilla looks absolutely tiny. >> But should be fine. It’s in uh put it in 4K mode anyway. Yeah, just walking around the night time now. It’s um you know, you can you can tell it’s uh completely different. It’s it’s still so busy as well. [music] >> [music] [music] >> entertain as well. [music] Oh, look at this street here. I was just thinking there as well if um if I do go and see a movie by the time it finishes I might have to get a taxi back. Um especially with how late it’s going to be the I suppose it depends what time the show is and what time really cuz The trains stop at like midnight in most places. picture. >> Oh, the town looks so much better from here. Um, let me just see if I can take a picture from up here. Look, look at the view. All right, let’s see. As you can see, there’s a there’s a lot of um places all up and everything. All the restaurants, bars, clubs looking over here. So, it’s a chosen foreign. [music] >> [music] [music] >> I don’t know where I went past the scatch place before when that occurred, There’s a Godzilla picture as well. [music] [music] >> [music] >> any uh yakuza kind of gamers, you’ll uh you’ll recognize this area like straight away as the uh the square where you normally walk through in the There’s the arcade that on the side that you normally go to. There’s a Tokyo Kamichko Tower. Yeah, on the game. This This is where you normally meet your date as well. >> [music] >> He’s like, “Yeah, that’s so much.” [music] See, is everyone’s just lined up here? Yeah. Go on this one as well. Yeah, there are you can see as you go into a lot of the side streets here as well. It’s uh it’s very recognizable. Too much crispy cream. Take a picture of that. Actually, the uh the sign for the >> cup. That’s better. Yeah, it blows up when you try and uh take it with the light. Yeah, that’s pretty cool. >> [music] >> Very dramatic. There’s the hotel dresser. That’s where the uh the Godzilla head is. Um right at the top on the eighth floor. Hey guys. So, I’ve actually managed to get into the hotel. So, I’m going to take you guys a look for the uh the Godzilla head. Um yeah, the uh there wasn’t any security on the other side. I think you’re doing it anyway as long as you’re only going to the eighth floor to see the head. Um anywhere else for uh for guests, but I’ll take a look now. Yeah, here is the um little display here for the Godzilla. It’s pretty cool. And you got the little mural for all the titles that have came out so far. Okay, I take you to the to the head here as well. >> Don’t be too loud. Want to disturb people. But uh yeah, got a cool little thing here. Look at the Yeah, the head’s just past this window. you’re not allowed outside anymore cuz um it basically got uh banned uh cuz someone tried to climb on top of it uh years back. Uh so they stopped people from coming out. So you can mostly see my reflection, but uh you can just see it out the window there. His massive head just popping over it. But yeah, that’s uh that’s pretty much it really in this place. Um, but yeah, I will uh I will catch you guys in a bit and um let you know what’s going on. Goodbye. Hey guys. So, I’ve just come out from the cinema there. I went to watch the jiu-jitsu movie. Uh Kaisen movie. That’s the one pronounc there. Um yeah, it was it was really good. Um but uh I’m going to head back to the hotel now, I think. Um there’s not much else to do. Um yeah, I’m just going to have a have a walk to the uh the station now and then um >> yeah, just going to have a walk to the station now and then um get some rest and ready for uh travel to Osaka tomorrow.
