  1. Wtf are they going to do for $20k for 2 weeks in Europe?!?! That's insane. I spent 10 days in Europe. For the flights, lodging, food, gifts, etc. I spent $2k. And that was me eating EVERYTHING.

  2. My husband and I took a two week trip to the UK last year for $10k, and that was us doing and seeing a TON. We’ve done a few in the past and $10k was the most we’ve ever spent. There are definitely luxuries you can cut to reduce the $25k price.

  3. My partner and I have a 20k budget per year for trips, and that covers for an Asia trip, couple of Europe trips and a few other small trips. A single 20k Europe trip on these guys income is a bit out there. I do agree with the spirit of keeping it fun while investing, but come on, you can do more with less less

  4. We spent 20k to travel for five weeks, including UK (London, Cornwall), France (Paris), US (San Francisco, Boston), for a family of four. We stayed with friends or in low-end rented apartments. We cooked at home half the time, and ate out otherwise. Had a great time on a budget. With only a few exceptions (e.g., Eiffel Tower), we avoided most tourist traps, and visited places only the locals know about.

  5. Sorry, spending a fourth of your net worth on a vacation is absurd. especially when you’re still young. Leave the fancy hotels and resorts for when you’re old and can’t move. Stay in hostels and cheap hotels when you’re young and going to spend all your time outside the hotel anyways.

  6. i went to europe for 20 days with my dad mom and brother, we spent all together 12k and thats including flights and we rented a car so we traveled 6 countries, and also went to every single museum and stuff, doesnt take a ton of money if youre careful

  7. We travel extensively. Spent 2 months in Italy and spent half what he's talking about.

At the high end round trip flights for two would cost $2,000. Depending on where in Europe, even a higher budget of $300 a night for a hotel would be $2100 for a week. And there are plenty of places which would cost less than $300 a night. Those are the two main expenses. What's the other $10,000+?

  8. 20K? Im from Poland and travel around Europe very often. Are You going to eat gold Steaks from Salt bea everyday that You need so much money?
If You really want to be in 5 stars hotels, then for 2 weeks You would spend no more then 10k, If You on a budget then below 7k is not a problem (Including flights).

  9. Hiw much to go to europ? Live in uk went to florid for 4 of us for 9k including 2 weeks disney tickets. Defo not going to cost that much to go to Europe. Food is much cheaper over here too.

  10. 18-20k? For trip! I have gone Europe three years in a row and the most we paid is 12k staying in all 5 star resorts. Next year, we are headed to Malta, 10k with 5 star resorts and 11 nights. What in the world 20k 🄹 but, maybe they are flight first class? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

  11. This guy is a comedian. Identify as a Janitor and makes $80k a year and spends $20k for 2 to Europe….

I went to Japan from the UK for 2 weeks and lived in nice hotels, ate what I wanted and including flights (Pre Eco) was only £5,000.

If I had shared my room with someone and added another person it wouldn't have got to £10k.

Just go and spend $5k for a week. Easily done. $1000 flight each, $200 a night hotel, that's $3500 with $1500 for food for a week. Trust me, it won't cost $1500 eating NORMALLY for a week.

  12. I’m a European guy (France) living in USA. You don’t need more than 5-6k for 2-3 weeks in Europe in the best cities to enjoy without even think about it. 25k is insane and totally delusional.

  13. I never look at how much I spend in Europe but I’d guess 10-15k for two weeks. Flights are minimum 3k total and hotels are expensive, add in excursions… it adds up quickly.

  14. My gf and I just went to Belgium and Poland (for a wedding) for 10 days for like $5000. When you're fresh out of college, do all this stuff cheap while your bodies can handle it. $20k for one trip is crazy!

  15. How the hell does a holiday to Europe cost 25k? Unless they're going to be there for 6 months. It isn't that expensive. You can easily get a nice hotel for 100 to 150 per night and if you spend the same as that on everything else put together you could be all in for 2k per week EASILY plus the flights. Also if they cut investing from 43% to 30% to get a good jump start (as we know you get much more benefit from investing early so there are more years for it to grown, that leave 23k per year for holidays and other luxuries which is also plenty if you don't try to buy the most expensive things available.

  16. Yeesh, I make over a $100k more than these people and have a paid for home with a 7 figure net worth and would never consider spending $20k on a 2 week vacation. I get stressed when our trips cost $5 grand….

  17. Why the fuck do Americans need $20,000 to ā€œgo to Europeā€? I just spent 12 days in the USA, most of it New York, which is MUCH more expensive than anywhere in Europe and I barely spent $10,000.

You don’t need $1,000 per night hotels to have a good time and you don’t need to buy the whole restaurant when you go out to eat. Gosh, you need to learn some goddamn moderation, your consumerism is crazy.
