Exploring Mallorca on a 5 Day Van Trip

One. Two more waves and I’m going. [Music] We just spent five days exploring the Spanish island of
Mallorca in search of adventure. From the iconic cards
to the panoramic views from the Albertcutz
Watchtower on the North Shore, we got to experience
so many incredible things. Welcome to Undrafted Amateurs
exploring Mallorca, Van Edition. made it over a quick little flight
from Barcelona. Probably like 20 30 minutes in the air. We’re here. Got the van. They didn’t have the one that we got. And so we got an upgrade a free upgrade. We’ve got, two bunks, which is awesome to not try to
we don’t have to cuddle anymore, which is nice. But anyway, so we’re here. Mallorca. just got the bus from Airbnb,
and we’re going to go find a place to camp for tonight. Try and figure this sucker out. Been a minute
since I wrote one of these boys. Relearning slash. Remembering how to drive a manual. Oh, baby. In traffic in another country. In a roundabout, two minute roundabout at rush hour. You gotta love it with a seat. It doesn’t stay in the spot
I to accelerate and we’re on a hill. And as soon as we like went for my seat. Shot back. All right. So first night here and we pick this
little spot called coaster de la Calma. It’s really nice right on the water. And it’s got this little path
between two beaches we’re about to have at least. Is this your first night
sleeping in a van? In a van? Ooh. I’ve been car camping plenty of times. I don’t know what a van,
Anyway, we got our bunk beds. Imagine if we refitted this stepbrothers
scene where the bed breaks after there’s so much room for activities. it’s like a stream. Some chick right there. First Morning America
slept pretty well in the van. Jo didn’t far too much and suffocate me. So we’re good. Let’s check it out. [Music] First full day. We’re headed to Parma this morning. Going to the Santa Maria Cathedral,
I believe. Checking it out to see what homeless like
there were to go on the other side to the beach afterwards. This place is awesome. They started building it early in
the 13th century and finished it in 1601. So it took almost 400 years to build. I don’t know if we’re going to go inside.
I think there’s a line. Yeah, some money. But you were saying what it looks like.
Dawn. Yeah, really
looks like Dawn from Game of Thrones here. I’m wondering if they filmed some of it
here. I know they filmed some of it in Spain,
so could be around the spot. [Music] I feel like a lot of places are going to have a easy
pull off right here. We just slide right over,
so I have to think about it. Too much. Little one, too big. Bob coming. We’re now six miles from Cala P. We just found the sweet cave. Nice little look out over the ocean. The Mediterranean. ATV cruise. Welcome. Hey, van. Tour time. Because we don’t know
how the road. This is legit. This is on the spot right here I come on. We also don’t know
how long we’re going to have this van. So in the meantime, let’s table. That’s where we you know,
we haven’t eaten there yet but we could. But that’s where the work gets done. Theoretically.
Turn this all the way around. But you got to take the table
out and you can open the door stove sink TV. You we have not used our. We’re trying to see how long we can go
without using that. Especially for number two is. Oh all right. This is where the good stuff
happens. Sleep. How’s that bunk? My bunk. Can’t forget refrigerator. It doesn’t really work, but it’s it’s
kind of like it’s getting a little cooler. Let’s go. Cool. These are busy. Now get it? get out of here. Yeah. All right, so we’re at County. Had a good day on the beach. A little running, went for dinner,
and Joe let me walk in to the dinner spot like this. That’s crazy. I don’t know that boys have
to have each other’s backs, but he’s got. It means. Peace out Cala Pi had to Peace out Cala Pi slept in just a tad. That’s alright. Only 20-30 minutes. Still got the breathe right strip on now. Heading to Santanyí.
I believe that’s how you say it. Go get a workout
in, then head into the arch. They did that work out. Feeling a little sluggish this morning. I feel like right now
seven bucks for a day pass. The US needs more of those places. I agree this a cool spot.
They didn’t make me sign up for a year just to workout for one day,
so that’s good. Rolling up to Cala Llombards. Maybe some birds, see if there’s parking. Yeah, there’s parking over there.
But yeah. Oh, yeah. [Music] Should we try to go walk over there? Walk around to the other side? [Music] All right, so we’re at Sea Arch now. We were just over on that
beach, walked over these rocks right into that cove,
and we thought about trying to walk all the way around,
and it didn’t look like easiest walk. So we just drove around. There’s a possibility you can climb up this,
there’s also a rope swing in the bottom. We’ll see. [Music] All right. So gonna hop in right here. It doesn’t look like the easiest spot.
Also doesn’t like the worst spot. We’ll see. Water’s a little rougher today
than it was yesterday, but it’s not it’s not terrible. [Music] Sitting here watching our stuff, Allen’s
snorkeling was pretty fun. Kind of jealous. I got to get in. We’ll see. [Music] Alright we’re going back. Pretty Tired. We’re heading out to Mondrago. And, National Park. Beach, too. Don’t really know what to expect, but. And then for a pit
stop before we got to rock caves later. [Music] We have tickets to the Drach Caves at 5:00. It’s the last one they have.
We already bought the tickets online. I think it’s going to be crowded. It’s probably gonna be a lot of people. I don’t know if it’s going to be our favorite thing,
but the caves themselves look insane, so. Felt like a bucket list thing
to do while we’re here. [Music] We made it to the caves. Kind of similar to expected. That’s pretty cool.
It was definitely crowded. Still cool though. Still cool. Glad we did it. Now we’re going to camp. [Music] This is the morning
we were going to go kayaking. I was hoping to get up early. Do it when the seas are calm. Not as much today. Looking pretty rough. The guide even messaged us or the renter even messaged us and said Probably not the best day to do it. We’re gonna try to find a surfboard
because people are surfing out here and Gotta do something today. [Music] So we just
caught a surfer coming out of the water. He’s a local guy. Asked him
if he knew any surf shops nearby, and he was saying the only ones in Palma,
which is, like an hour away. it’s kind of the opposite way of the direction
we’re planning on going for the trip. But if we don’t have anything else to do
today, it’s going to be a decision. Let’s think about it. What are we doing right now? Allen? Surfing it up and walking over to Kai. Carla marquez, which supposedly
has a bunch of cliff jumping. There’s an arch there. Kind of similar to the one
we saw yesterday, and we’re going to check it out. The water’s a little rough,
but hopefully it’s like in a little cove. So hopefully that calms down
and we can still do some swim in it. Cliff Chapman here’s the walk down. It’s like I think a mile or so, something
like that from where you can park. It’s gated off for
cars, but you can walk down. [Music] You would have gotten destroyed
on a kayak. Yeah. For sure. Glad we, vetoed that one. Tough
that somebody wore flops on this hike. You making fun of my shoes down there?! That’s wild. After Sea Urchin foot, I told this man to put some tennis
shoes on. Nope. Dang. That’s the arch. [Music] I wish we would have timed the days better for cliff jumping day. but that’s alright Yeah, yeah. We decided it was a bad idea
to jump into this water. A very bad idea. Could be a good surfing
day though. Hey. We’ll see. But made a pact that we wouldn’t
let each other jump in. yeah, good call. A cave! what do you think? Pretty sweet. There’s some water back here, it looks like
it goes back a decent way, but he gets kind of small. Allen’s determined to get this message
in a bottle. Here. I open every bottle I find in the water just to make sure
there’s not a message in it. Can you help, bro? Come on, baby. One of these days
there’s gonna be a message in it and it’s going to be awesome. So we’ve had fun watching the water
smack the rocks, hoping this turns into some good surf. So we’re going to go try that. We got boards. That boy sleepy. Long day. Oh, long. Hey. So the conditions weren’t
exactly what we wanted. We were planning on doing some cliff
jumping, some snorkeling, some kayaking into caves,
and unfortunately, you to do that. But we didn’t get to go to California,
which had us caves on the side and big waves crash into them,
which is pretty cool. You got to go on a little hike
and then went out. Surfing wasn’t the best conditions,
but we did catch some waves in the Mediterranean,
which was all we were really shooting for. So I’ll take that as a win. Make the most out of the day. Now we’re headed to Kalamazoo to, to new camping spot, and you’re going to get some dinner there. [Music] Leaving Cala Mesquida. Leaving the mosquitoes behind. Last day. We’re headed up to the watchtower
in a little bit. We’re going to go ahead and move
that direction. Maybe going to try to catch a small town
for our lunch. And there now. [Music] Part about this road is I feel like people coming at you are hugging the inside curve, and you’re
trying to hug the outside curve. So you hit the freaking wall. Here, look on this tight and there’s bikes. It’s a good time. And bikers. It’s it’s sweet. New Yorker Rock Stadium Championship 2024. So. Sweet beach. Nice mountain backdrop. Clearwater might be my favorite
beach on the trip so far. I’m going to try to snorkel. Maybe.
Questionmark. Yeah, I think we should. [Music] Made a call to play bro. Van takes up most of the road, so hopefully people will be, reasonable. We’ll see what happens.
That’s pretty wild. Yeah, it’s starting to wind up,
but the good news is this is a two way road. [Music] All right. So this is our last night. Mallorca. We just made it up to the power cuts. Tower, Watchtower. The top of a big melon on the edge of the island overlooks
both the sea and the bay. And the rest of the island as well. It’s pretty awesome up here. The views are stunning in every direction. You can see pretty much everywhere. I don’t know if it’s the highest point
of the island or what, but we’re able to catch a sunset. It’s gorgeous up here. [Music] Leaving the Watchtower. Heading back to Parma.
To drop off the van. It’s a bummer. Gotta see a lot of goats.
Hang out to go to the mountain. Mountain goats? Mallorca is awesome. We recommend. We wish we could have experienced
Cala marquez on a calm day. I think that would be the only
maybe regret about the trip on all. Loved it. Love the things we saw, love
the things we did. Love the people we met. Until next time. [Music]
