Thanks for the info on the translator earbuds. Gonna get a couple pairs for my lady and I. Been looking at different options but your endorsement means more than random reviews I read.

Just go to Thailand and enjoy nothing special … No overpreparing …
Moreta pay, can be used for contact less payment. You can link it to your bank or credit card
My fellow Canadian a very informative video thanks Doc!π
I am not psycho and I cook at home for myself. The $500/month that I save is about 10-16 STs (not including pre-drinks and room) or one HE per day (not including base massage rate).

Excellent video Docπ can not wait for thailand for christmas
Hi whats happening with your visa
Number one thing in your pocket before traveling anywhere. An ATM card linked to your Fidelity or Schwab account. Yes, get a Fidelity or Schwab account. This would have saved you in Vietnam Doc. Go to any ATM anywhere, withdraw local currency, they reimburse the fees in a day or two. Current exchange rates applied, doesnβt get easier, never failed me once.
TagThai? Wanted to use it for the QR Codes in the night markets, street vendors, etc. Sounds great right? It was surprisingly complex to get set up at the bank (did it in the Hua Hin mall, signatures, show passport, use thai baht notes, etc). That done, using the app itself took about 30 seconds each time to enter the PIN and get to the scan QR code screen on my iPhone SE – slow….. And then when loaded, it would be hit or miss whether it would charge the payment or not. Evidently the issue is that some mom and pop vendors use their personal bank accounts and not a PromptPay linked business account. TagThai will only transact with business accounts. You're a foreigner and you can't launder money to regular thai people. Of course the vendor won't know about this or won't say so, so it just slows down the whole transaction.
thank you so much great video, Take care Doc ππΊπΊ
Did somebody say Cambodia?? I'm heading there for the first time soon, oh, and I thought I saw you wandering down the street in my neighbourhood this week, I might have called out to you, and yep, you guessed it, it wasn't you… Oh dear.
