We are traveling to the very eastern edge of Europe, to the border between Russia and NATO to see what life is REALLY like here in 2025. Join us as we explore Narva, in Estonia, a Russian-speaking town on the border with Russia itself. This town is often said to be the front line between Europe / NATO and Russia, but how do people here really live? And how to they feel about the situation they find themselves in? Lets take a journey to the very edge of the European Union to find out.

  1. im trying to understand why you are so fascinated that russia is right across the river? I mean its been that way for decades and watching this from a distance per se, it just seems odd you are so fascinated by the proximity

  2. 6:34 The problem is not Estonia/NATO vs Russia. The problem is Putin.
If Putin were pro Glasnost and Perestroika and were not an agressor against sister people Ukrain, all would be Narmalna.

  3. "These are the people that are the ones that are paying the price" and then you "forget" to mention that Narva was (before the Soviet invasion and occupation of Estonia) a gorgeous and mainly Estonian city that was destroyed and ethnically cleansed by Russia. Good job!

  4. I live on a private road that I own in SW Washington State. I built the road and my home a couple of years ago, and I have trouble getting packages delivered here because I haven't named the road, so the delivery people have a hard time finding my address. Thanks so much for helping me decide on a name for my road ( Aleksander Puskini ), it is. I've enjoyed your channel for several years now, enjoy seeing places I wouldn't be able to travel to myself. Merry Christmas.

  5. I mean, on one side of Narva and say you've seen all of Narva xd.

Just like what was said about Tallinn, we went to the old town and its surroundings and saw all of Tallinn. What else! We went to Helsinki and saw all of Finland xd

many videos, for example, in the zoo park, the TV tower, Linnahall, etc.
not the Old Town and Telliskivi
open the map of Narva and see other exciting places, not just the eastern side of Narva

  6. Dear The 7 Archangels who stand before the throne of God, I pray, watch over the Country of Estonia, I charge you in prayer… I pray… please help them maintain independence and sovereignty and also be Christianized and there to be the advancement of the Kingdom of God on earth in their Land at this time going forward I pray also. prayer support … do pray for them… thank you.

  7. As Estonian I want to say apologized to all local Russians and point out that actions what harass them are prohibited by government who has 13% raiting – that says a lot. And yes – of course my comment triggers one or two individuals from that loud minority but what to do 🙂 let those babies cry!

  8. Russia does not recognise dual citizenship – so at least one of you would be subject to Russian laws. Would or could UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office assist with any issues if you ignore their advice – same with much travel insurance. Or is Russian support enough!? Current Russian leadership seems to want to re-establish Soviet borders – whatever the human cost – and it is not just a question of separated families more about military costs of invasion.

  9. In another vid, I heard Julia say she is from Siberia. If Julia is from Siberia and Matt is from England, how did you guys meet?

  10. Thank you both for sharing this video. Very interesting to see, the Historical values, and to know that crossing the bridge, is simple to cross into russia.👍👍💪

  11. The accession of Estonia (and a few other countries) to the EU and NATO is often cited as "the encroachment of NATO to Russia posing a threat. But Norway (a founding member of NATO in 1949) has a 80 mile border with Russia . What is more amazing is that the border is open. You just walk over it. The Sami people drive their reindeer herds over it twice a year and year and they need to go back and forward all the time (they have special permission to do this). So did this 76 year old NATO-Russian border cause any tensions and threats to Russia? Of course not. If anything the relationship could not be better. This claim of "encroachment" is both a propaganda spin by the Kremlin and the laughable errors from Americans and Europeans who are pro-Putin who have never looked at a map.

(NB. though I say aboveyou can walk over the border, visitors should know it is still illegal to enter Russia without permission. Both sides have watch-towers where staff with binoculars scan for problems on the border and if you are spotted you will be picked up by a snow-scooter and questioned. How this works and whether you return or held for further investigation is governed by a Norwegian-Russian agreement (it also allows the Norwegians to fine Russians who cross into Norway without permission.)

  12. Hello from Denver Colorado US! Thank you for posting your travel videos. They are very enjoyable to watch. I don't get to travel as much as I used to so I've been addicted to Youtube travel videos for a while now. I am impressed with the ones from China with the fantastic infrastructure and train travel.
