    Entering Syria in 2025 | New Government in Power

    Syria has entered a new chapter, and entering the country in 2025 was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life.

    Shortly after my last visit to Syria in 2019, I was banned after releasing a video series — even though the stories highlighted the resilience, warmth, and beauty of the Syrian people. The Assad regime didn’t approve, and I wasn’t sure if I’d ever return.

    But this trip was different. From the moment I crossed the land border, I could feel the shift — there was this energy in the air that I’ve never once felt. A mix of hope, fear, and uncertainty about what comes next.

    From the ancient streets of Damascus to the remote villages of Palmyra — I set out to understand what life looks like under Syria’s new regime. This documentary is an extremely rare and unfiltered look inside a country that has long been shrouded in conflict and mystery. I spent time with dozens of people, listened to their stories, and witnessed the changes unfolding.

    On a personal note, I’ve been making videos for more than 8 years, and this story sits at the very top of my all-time favorites. My team and I poured four weeks of nonstop effort into crafting this story, and we can’t wait to hear your thoughts, reactions and questions.

      Since filming this video just four weeks ago, more than a thousand Christians, Alawites and Assad supporters have been killed by HTS, the new regime now in power. Women, children, entire families—gone. My heart is absolutely broken for them.

      The goal of this video was to show what it’s like to travel in Syria after Assad’s fall, and to use my platform to amplify local voices.

      I am not an expert on Syrian politics. There are people who have been studying this conflict for years, and I welcome all feedback if you believe something I or somebody else said needs more context.

      What I can tell you is that I’ve traveled to every country on Earth, and the Middle East is my favorite region for one word: hospitality.

      Nowhere else in the world have I felt so welcomed, so embraced by strangers who quickly become friends. And Syria, despite its long years of suffering, is no exception.

      Understandably, many Syrians have been celebrating this new shift in power. And as you’ll hear in this video, for them, anything was better than Assad — he was a war criminal.

      But the future remains uncertain. A new extremist government is sadly dragging the country back into chaos, and the cycle of violence continues.

      Syrians deserve peace. They deserve the right to practice their faith freely, to feel safe in their own homes, and to build a future without fear — just like the rest of us.


      Let’s spread awareness. Let’s push for an end to this suffering.

      That's exactly my kind of humor. One so-called dictatorship disappears and another comes to power. In any case, Israel immediately continued bombing Syria and supporting the current cutthroats. The plundering of Syria by the US and Turks will, of course, continue, and the country will continue the war. All planned by the fascist West. Well then, good night and cheerio for all brainwashed hillbillies. LOL.
