We just arrived in Gibraltar 🇬🇧… by foot! And from the moment we crossed the border from Spain 🇪🇸, it felt like we’d stepped into a surreal British bubble complete with red phone boxes, Percy Pigs, and pints at the pub. In this video, we explore Gibraltar’s bizarre identity clash: British high street shops on Mediterranean streets, Costa Coffee beside palm trees, and yes… even monkeys causing chaos at the top of the Rock. From high-street nostalgia to jaw-dropping views over the runway, it’s a day full of unexpected laughs, culture clash quirks, and some heartfelt reflections on this historic slice of “Little Britain” abroad. Is Gibraltar weirdly wonderful… or just plain weird?

  1. Love Gibraltar, it is like it used to be here in England. Better weather too! I could live there very happily, just need money! 💜

  2. And there's so much more to see and do than that! It'll keep you busy for a while, will Gib!

I remember my fiancee going there for the first time a few years ago. My mother and father were paying for the family to go (there goes our inheritence!) and we stayed at the Rock Hotel on that occasion. Watch out for monkeys on you bedroom balcony!

My memory it walking up Main Street. We've gone a distance, with my fiancee rather distracted. "Ian, are all these shops legit?" Turns out she thought it was all counterfeit. "Welcome to tax free shopping!" I said. Next minute she's phoning home for requests from her family 😁

  3. There is no reason for Brits to ever travel to Florida in America when Gibraltar is here in Spain. If you're British and looking for a holiday destination look no further, and they specifically cater to Brits, so there is no excuse not to visit Gibraltar. Save your pounds, Brits, on that US vacation and spend it here in Gibraltar.

  4. This might come across weird but I’ve noticed you often wear the same clothes across different videos, and to me that actually adds credibility. A lot of travel influencers focus on creating a ‘perfect look’ every time, but the consistency in your videos makes it feel more genuine and grounded. Thank you for your amazing content!

  5. There's nothing much glorious about La Linea in socialist Spain. The contrast between the economy and wealth in La Línea and Gibraltar is chalk and cheese. There's a reason why over 15,000 Spaniards walk across the border, into Gibraltar, each day to work. They can't find any decent work that pays well in La Linea and surrounding areas of Spain.

  6. I´m Irish, live in La Linea for 25 years and cross the border every day to work. Gibraltar is far too expensive to live in, rents are way too high for what you get. La Linea on the other hand is cheaper, has the best Spanish food compared to any other place that I have been to in Spain and the town and it´s people are lovely. If the Brexit deal with UK and Spain goes through the border with Gibraltar might go, but there is still that runway that will have to be crossed. A strange, weird and wonderful place to live.

  7. If you like Gibraltar I think you’ll also like the British Caribbean islands. You guys should visit. I unfortunately can’t live in one of them, I’m American but I’ve visited and love the vibes.

  8. Thank you so much on your positive review on Gibraltar… sadly you never got to visit the amazing sites such as St Michael’s cave with its animated son et lumier, the galleries with its interactive historical siege expo with sound and smoke , over 400mtres long , the amazing WW2 tunnels with a spitfire hanging from the roof of a cavern within the Rock , Alameda Botanical Gardens , a dolphin safari with guaranteed views of dolphins or money back .. etc … have safe travels 😉
