We Drank 2,000-Year-Old Water in England (Then Found the Cutest Town Ever)!

England surprised us in ways we never expected.
Just west of London, we explored Bath, one of England’s most historic cities — home to the Roman Baths, steaming natural springs, and a Gothic abbey where England’s first king was crowned. Yes… we even drank the mineral water that’s been flowing here for over 2,000 years.
But the real surprise came after.
What we found next completely changed how we see England.
We hopped on the Great Western Railway and headed to Bradford-on-Avon, a tiny English town that feels straight out of a Hobbit book — and barely makes most England itineraries. Stone bridges, riverside walks, historic barns, community fridges, and one of the best traditional high tea experiences in the UK made this place unforgettable.
If you’re looking for England beyond London, this episode shows why slowing down and exploring smaller towns can be the most rewarding way to travel. We spent over 40 nights in the UK and 28 of those were spent doing Housesitting (#trustedhousesitters NOT sponsored) – but this video shows what the “work-side” of housesitting looks like. In this case that was caring for Barney and Leyla – two cocker spaniels that stole our hearts. FACT – with the housesitting factored in (through TrustedHousesitters.com) – out per-night lodging costs in UK were lower than Albania! With so many pets in the UK needing sitting – you can do this too.
