      Lovely trip down memory lane Brian. I drove a mini bus with 13 heckling airmen up and around those hairpin bends in 1992 (the roads are way better now than they were then!) so they could train for an orienteering competition called the Cyprus Walkabout. I loved exploring all the villages on my own with just me and the van. I basically dropped them off at one point and collected them 6 hours later at a different point and had all that time in between to myself 😊

      Been up that road many times. Love Troodos. We always go into that shop and get a big bag of nuts. Honey Almonds are my favourite!
      We usually come back via Coral bay way. If you haven't tried that way yet, I would highly recommend it. A longer way round but so worth it if you have the time. Absolutely stunning! Always reminds me of something out of Jurassic park! 😂

      Absolutely love Troodos all the different nuts was amazing we did come back with quite a lot of different ones. Those pomegranate cashew are very Moorish. I absolutely love every thing Cyprus has to offer. Thank you for sharing Brian brings back some memories of when we last visited those shops. Ohh what I would do to be there right now absolutely love Cyprus thanks for sharing Brian

      Thanks for taking us on this little trip, Brian. Except for the fir trees, you could have been in some parts of Australia! Very similar country. The houses, of course, are very different. You know where to go when it’s 40deg in Pathos! Up the mountains, where it’s cooler! Oh to be able to pick fresh dried fruits at a store and have them placed in a paper bag!!!!

      We did most of that drive back in May. I had the camera on the roof and filmed a lot of the journey. Cyprus does have some beautiful scenery and villages. We returned to Paphos via Omodos, which is also very picturesque.
      More tourists should make the effort to visit these places and not just the coastal areas.
