We Heading into Melbourne this week, looking forward to checking out the Preston Markets 👍🏖🌴
The prices for food ,fruit and vegetables are ridiculous at this market…way overpriced
Stop lying about vegan tasting like real food
Locals folk call it DePreston…. Pre Lockdown it really was a vibrant food hub. These days it is (still) grimey and lacking low to mid budget choices. The majority of Asian food business have relocated to further out suburbs due to high rent prices and those remaining have doubled their prices and excuse their poor service due to 'low staff numbers'. Many overpriced food outlets of varying cultural origin ave 'popped up' in their wake, though, they generally only last a few months. This is most likely (once again) due to the high rental situation as well as Preston being a traditionally low income area that now finds itself in the later stages of gentrification.
