Eastern Europe part 2 (December 2023)
In this video we continue driving south heading for the United Arab Emirates. We drive on snowy roads, through small villages, visit some more Christmas markets and drive through Bratislava (Slovakia), Budapest (Hungary), follow the Daube river in Romania and drive through Plovdiv (Bulgaria) towards the Bulgaria/Turkey border.
John and Hanneke lived in Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates from 1999-2024. During Covid, they converted a delivery Peugeot Boxer van into a campervan and did a Road trip in 2023 having driven from Abu Dhabi through Iran to Europe and Ireland, the Arctic Circle in the Scandinavian countries and Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia back to Abu Dhabi. They covered 45000 kms in 11 months and visited 26 countries. They have recently moved to British Columbia in Canada for the next chapter of their lives where they live off grid on Read Island, a remote island in the Discovery Islands off Vancouver Island.
