  1. Most of the cost went on new hats for Andrew!! 😂

What a fab trip. Such a fascinating country. So jealous. Retirement can't come soon enough!

    Thanks for sharing N&Nx 🥔 🍌

  2. Great summary, even we are not the cheapest place to visit. We finns have weird interest to hear how peoples like to visit finland 😊. You were brave to do your trip in the fall, close to winter. Thats different thann summer, good thing is that mosquitoes are gone ….

  3. Great to see you back , Happy New Year to you all! Hope you had a well earned rest for such famous YouTubers 😃 Wow that was interesting to see the costs of your super duper trip – well worth every penny by the look of it. Not sure if you are aware of getting an AHC from Abbeywell Vets at Folkestone apparently £99 – complete online then collect the AHC at the vets before trip ( I haven't done this yet , but looking into it for our first Europe trip this year with our Border Terrier ) Looking forward to hearing of your new adventures for 2026

  4. Thank you for a great breakdown on costs and things to do, it was a very informative vlog and it’s something we will be doing this September!
Love your style of vlog and sense of humour👍😁
Our first van was a 2015 elddis encore 255 and I had fitted 14+11kg Alugas bottles in the gas cupboard. Looking forward to see what you’re up to next👍

  5. Thanks for your YouTube tastic summary /recap of Finland. It really does capture how great a place it is for touring in a motorhome. We have already booked to return in April for bear watching at Martinselkonen, but flying this time.
If you’re at loose end 😮could you list your what three words locations. Cheque is in the post!

  6. Of course we Finns are watching, we love to watch our country from outsider's point of view. 😊 I myself got a lot of good tips also from your trip, you visited many really interesting and beautiful places I didn't even know of before. 😄 I need to plan a Finland trip of my own, it seems. 😊 Have a peaceful new year! 🤍💙

  7. Well made summary. As I said earlier, this video series of your journey was very nice to watch. It's fun that I am also a caravanner, the same age as you and you saw many places where I haven't been even I've lived my whole life in Finland. You visited eg. many national parks etc. where I haven't ever been.
I will wait for your next trip to here some year.

  8. Nobody does it like you. Thats a great spreadsheet, i hope you keep the password safe.😂 it does look an amazing trip. Were off to sweden and Norway in september. Nordkapp here we come. All tips and advice welcome. Need to keep it cheap do no hat purchases. xx.

  9. Bravo and thank you for this video! All your information and tips will be very useful for our trip to Finland in April 👍 And thanks again for the info on diesel heating 😉 I'm having mine installed next Thursday. See you soon for more videos and Happy New Year 2026!

  10. HNY ! Thankyou for the very informative video .. costs i thought were great and if you remove your cost of food ( you would have spent that at home anyway ) you had an amazing value holiday for 12 weeks . ty friends for the tips looking forward to more adventures in 2026 kisses for Jane and cheers 🍻🍻🍻 Andrew

  14. Happy new year to you both and thanks for another informative video.

Just about to start our first long trip – to Spain and if we can find the balance you seem to manage, we'll be very happy!

  15. Great vlog chaps, Finland definitely on our must visit list now, Finland’s Tourism Board should sponsor you! Really interesting series, obviously I don’t mean Andrew! Happy New Year Buddy too x

  16. I’m going to be very direct because I respect your time and your intelligence, and I hope you respect the honesty in this message as well. I’ve spent time studying your channel, not casually scrolling but actually watching, listening, and paying attention to the details most people miss, and what stood out to me immediately is that you are far better than your current results suggest, which is one of the most painful positions a serious creator can be in. You are doing the work, you are showing up, you clearly care, and yet the growth is not matching the effort, and over time that gap quietly kills momentum, confidence, and belief even in talented people. The hard truth is that YouTube is not a platform that rewards effort or even quality alone, it rewards precision, positioning, and understanding how human psychology and the algorithm intersect, and right now your content is strong but misaligned, which means YouTube doesn’t know who to push it to or why it should win. This has nothing to do with you lacking talent and everything to do with strategy that hasn’t been optimized yet. I’ve worked with creators who were exactly where you are now, creators who felt invisible despite doing everything right, and once we fixed the way their content was framed, packaged, and structured, the results didn’t slowly improve, they snapped into place because the system finally understood them. When I look at your channel, I don’t see a gamble or an experiment, I see something that should already be moving faster than it is, and that’s why I’m reaching out. I’m not interested in convincing you with hype or fake guarantees, and I’m not chasing everyone, because not everyone is worth working with, but if you are serious about turning what you’re already doing into real momentum, real reach, and real growth, then this is a conversation worth having. The difference between creators who stay stuck and creators who break through is not motivation or consistency, it’s the decision to stop guessing and start operating with intent. If you’re comfortable staying where you are, you can ignore this message and nothing changes, but if you know deep down that your channel is capable of more and you’re ready to treat it that way, reply with READY and we’ll take the next step

  17. That was a great honest video,it may have been expensive but from your faces you will carry those wonderful memories forever, you both have worked hard all your lives and sometimes you can’t put a price on such wonderful encounters with bears .👏👏😊

  18. We both Enjoyed that from some amazing people. Can I ask what breakdown cover you use. Also what heads up display. I bought one but on our Elddis it will not work in the cab. My car etc works fine.❤ Debs.

  19. Night shots are not easy Andy you defo need a tripod and longer exposure if I remember rightly . It’s catching those beautiful lights lovely but hard to do . Lots of excellent information on this vlog about Finland . But it’s just like the rest of your vlogs they’re full of good information . Wildlife is what you both love and it looked like 👍 you got some really good photos of nature and wildlife . Oh dear “ you can even get your tugs washed “ you both cracked up there . Well it’s lovely to see your back in the uk and yourl be straight up to marrow land to see family . My campers off the road I’ll send you a private message see what you think 💭 maybe you’ll have a good idea 👍 take Andy

  20. I watched your video since I was interested how this country looks like for someone from a different culture. Just as I make notices when traveling in different countries with our RV. You had some pretty good advice in there. I would like to add that if you want to use campsites, I would look into SFC campsites. They are finnish caravaner association members campsites and they tend to be cheaper (Because associations are not allowed by law to make a profit) and most of them include a communal sauna and swimming possibility. Some of them are open all year around too, but I am not sure if that is only for members or also for visitors. The problem with those is that most of the time they are not located near a city center. They tend to be in a bit more isolated places. Not all, but maybe most.

Basically you are allowed to stay for a night if you are allowed to park overnight so free parking is easily available just as you seem to have noted.

One thing you mentioned that I probably would have missed are lunch buffets. A lot of restaurants (Most of them) actually make most of their money from lunch customers. So that is a very competitive segment. Which usually makes sure that the price is reasonable. You can find these in most of the restaurants in Finland between maybe around 11:0014:00 (might vary a bit case by case). Even if there isn’t a buffet there usually is a discounted list of portions. The price is often quite the same in different places since most of the places aim at the same price which is government defined tax aided lunch benefit cost. Some might ask a little bit more, but generally the “standard” fee is most common.

Hope you enjoyed and have nice further adventures wherever those will be.

  21. Winter and Lancashire, now you know what to wear🎩😏. We don't have ancient buildings, biggest waterfalls, tallest mountains, enormous castles, ultimate wealth, no but we have something else. And you have found it😍. Welcome back👋

  22. Happy New Year you two and greetings from Delightful Devon! Another informative video, thank you. We did Norway and Sweden a few years ago and had a similar experience, although some costs were high, this was more than made up for by the amount of free parking. Changing tack, we are off to Greece in March (fingers crossed and dodgy waterpump allowing). The last time we went we did the France, Italy, ferry from Bari route. This time, we were looking at a similar route out but then coming back through Bulgaria, Romania etc. Essentially, our planned return route was your there and back route. Any reason you retraced your steps rather than catching a ferry to Italy? Can't decide if you know something I don't or I've missed something obvious . . . .
