Absolutely everything you would need to know.
I'm no winter holiday person, but with school-going kids now, the summer holiday will be a challenge. Is booking for summer in January really cheaper?

Pretty much represents what accommodation you can find in France at the budget end in a good ski area. Seen very similar in Val D’Isere and La Plagne for example. Well worth shopping around if you’re looking for packages with travel – different operators vary in price and service offered. Self catering, especially if it’s near the lifts, gives options to nip back for lunch, to change clothes or just for a rest. Hotels tend to offer dinner very late (even worse in Italy and Spain) and no facilities to make drinks. Good job – for anyone who hasn’t been, this is a very good overview. Oh yes, pack earplugs for better sleep …
