I based myself in Lindos, Rhodes, for a few days, rented a car, and just wandered. The town itself feels frozen in time, whitewashed houses climbing the hillside, narrow winding streets, and the Lindos Acropolis towering above since the 4th century BC. Every alley felt cinematic, like stepping straight into Game of Thrones.

Driving around the island for a week, is where it really comes alive. Small villages, crumbling medieval walls, Ottoman era buildings, tiny churches, and empty roads that wind along the coast make you feel like you’ve got the island to yourself. You can stop anywhere, a quiet square, a view over the Aegean, or a ruined castle, and just soak it in.

Sunset from the Lindos Acropolis was something else: the town glowing golden, the sea shimmering, and the centuries of history stacked in every roof and alley. Rhodes is more than beaches; it’s a place to get lost, to wander, and to feel the layers of time under your wheels and your feet.
