Before coming to Israel, I had expectations — but what I experienced surprised and shocked me in ways I didn’t expect.
In this video, I share 10 things that genuinely stood out to me while travelling through Israel, from daily life and culture to food, safety, cost of living, and the contrast between cities like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
As a Black traveller, I also reflect on how people treated me, the diversity I witnessed, and how normal life continues despite the tensions people often associate with this country.
This isn’t a political video — it’s an honest, personal look at Israel through my own experience on the ground.
If you’re curious about travelling to Israel, what life is really like, or how the reality compares to what we see online, this video is for you.

Great video! Thank you for your kind words! 99% of the people saying bad stuff about Israel have never been there. Just brainwashed people. So disappointing to see so many people that have no idea what they’re talking about.
💙 Dear brother🤍,
THANK YOU 🙏🏻 for knowing how to show to the fucked up and anti-Semitic world,
THANK YOU AGAIN that you know how to show – THE REAL MY COUNTRY 🇮🇱 🙏🏻.
We are people of peace, and
our country 🇮🇱 and our army DO NOT seek wars, BUT ‼️
WE ARE NOT ‼️ afraid to fight against the enemy.
Whoever is good to us 🇮🇱 , WE WILL ALWAYS BE GOOD TO HIM 😊 , BUT ‼️‼️
whoever does not love us, WE WILL NOT ‼️ be afraid to fight against whoever and whenever necessary

Thank you so much for sharing your honest experience from our country and sharing it with the world!
We are literally being demonized as if it's the 1930's all over again. Every voice that shares the truth counts! Thank you! ❤
Thank you for saying nice things about Jewish people and Israel. Refreshing, nowadays.
Shnizl for a bread crams chicken is a great word.
Great Job I was born in Jerusalem yes you got it right you can feel the holy in the air!!! And I’m so happy you spoke about the vegan options since I became a vegan 4 years ago and vegans do become more spiritual!!! I even believe that at the end everyone will become vegan!!!
In Israel actually consume a lot of meats mostly
Falafel is just a traditional food street
Cheap and yummy that you grab on the way
All this is what I knew from beforehand because I'm jewish
Very interesting! Thank you🙏🏻

❤❤❤❤
Keep doing your amazing work. Thank you❤
Habibi, its expensive for us, too. Weve been protesting about it for years.
also, re the food and meat, two points. 1. Its from jewish dietary laws, because we cant mix meat and dairy products and dairy is a huge staple of our diet. 2. My family is Tunisian-Israeli, you want meat-heavy food come over for shabbat.
Great video, a very accurate description of Israel!! Thank you so much
from a pure arab, i admit that living in israel is the best thing that could happen to an arab. it is the best and most freedom based option in the middle east, by far!! we love this country.

Thank you my dear ❤for showing the truth about Israel. Regards all the unbelievable difficulties, it's turned out to be the best country in the middle east to live in. You are a true friend of the Jewish people.

the weekday thing being confusing is because the "rest days" are fridays and saturdays so thats why everything was closing at thoses times, plus saturday is like declared by god to be a rest day so thats why in jerusalem theres no chance to find alot of things open
1:57 last 2 years??
u mean last 2000 years
7:30 "more in rural areas…. When I travelled down to Dimona(?) and JERUSALEM…" Yeah, rural capital city 😂😂😂
BTW wdym black? We have any and everyone here, Slavs, Asians of all sorts, Blacks, mid-Easterns (obviously). The most you can see is probably "rural" orthodox in Jerusalem slums or sometimes inside some closed kibbutzim if you wear religious Islamic clothes and listen to some religious songs through loudspeakers. Other yhan that and specifically as a black? Didn't catch that type of sh.t once in my 11+ years in Israel. Tbh you'd have a bigger chance in eastern Ukraine probably😅
So you was in my country? How it was?
