For the people that have owned an X-Hinge Rooftop tent how do you rate it?

Are the X hinges sturdy and strong. Is the tent firm or a lot of flex? Can they handle windy conditions. Are they long lasting or do they buckle? Is the tent easy to close or does the fabric jam at the from etc etc?

I currently have a standard clam style RTT that's great but I'm giving it away and wondering whether I should replace it with an X hinge for that extra bit of foot room.

Not exactly an answer from experience with this RTT, but rather a pop up camper. By design the pop up should be rather unstable with a roof shell lifted by four posts. When the canvas sides tighten up, and the bunk end canvas is pulled tight, the fabric becomes part of the structure providing shear strength from winds.

I don’t see any reason why the tent fabric wouldn’t do the same to provide lateral support to those X hinges.
