Stuck in a Remote Slovak Town at Night | Margecany Train Station
Chapter two of my North Slovakia adventure — and things get tense. After exploring Margecany, I’m left waiting hours for a train back to Košice, dealing with delays, no Wi-Fi, no phone signal, and the very real possibility of getting stranded overnight in a remote Slovak town.
I bounce between kiosks, hostel bars, and the train station trying to pass time, keep warm, and work out what’s actually going on. With confusing announcements, delayed services, and zero connectivity, this turns into a real test of solo travel patience.
Eventually, after plenty of stress and second-guessing, the train finally arrives — and the relief is unreal.
