You won’t believe the beauty of Antalya, Turkey!

My third video from Turkey takes us down south to the beach city of Antalya. With the shimmering mediterranean sea below the snowy mountain peaks, you will wonder if you’re dreaming in this city. Truly one of the most beautiful landscapes I have encountered in all my travels.

  1. Check out Bursa, Diyarbakır, and Mardin. Bursa is just an hour ride from Sabiha G. airport. There are regular buses there. Or you can take the ferry as well. FYI, iskender plate has all in it, you eat it combining the bread, döner and yogurt all in one fork bite 😀 no need for extra bread. And the best iskender is served in Bursa, that is where it is originated.

  2. Bro here is some döner shop advice for you, Canakci Doner in konyaalti district, one of my favorite doner shop in antalya as a local… thanks for the video.

  3. I like your videos but man, you are making an awful lot of assumptions in your videos about places that are just plain false. I get that your vibe is the unplanned, nonchalant way but some of these thoughts should have just been thoughts 😂
You met a few people in your 3 days in Antalya and you’ve come to the conclusion that Antalya is the holiday resort of “Easterners” lol…
And if you think you might be getting scammed, which is possible in Turkey, you should ask them. Or if you don’t mind it then why spend 2 mins of the video on that…
Your latest videos have been lackluster…

  4. "This is Turkey?!"
"You won't believe the beauty of Antalya, Turkey!"
Wow, very original, well thought titles for only the world's 4th most visited country, really. You may be ignorant, but you don't have to assume the rest of the world is. It's cringe really

  5. Price was very cheap actually… You were not deceieved. January is price adjustment time due to inflation. İ am begging to find the price you ate, here in Ankara.

  6. Breeders and the rich destroying the earth.
Only stupid and uneducated people create to cause more suffering and pain and disguise it as a gift of life when it is not… only very intelligent people never produce.

The world has a skin and this skin has diseases. One of these diseases is called "man".

  7. Climate change, floods, forest fires, storms, pollution, overpopulation, wars, refugees, crimes, injustices, poverty, pandemics, sufferings, pains, rudenesses, evils, collapse of civilization and absence of euthanasia. Welcome to hell, created by the worst species: man.

  8. That's a great video. While you're in Antalya, I recommend you take the Lycian Way route to Kaş and Fethiye. This natural beauty and scenery are worth seeing. I'm nearby and can accompany you on this route😀

I've been following you for a long time. You mostly travel to big cities, so I suggest you also visit Bursa, one of the most beautiful cities in Turkey.

  9. I’m originally from the UK, but I’ve been living in Antalya for over twenty years now, and I can honestly say I love it. It feels less like a place I live and more like a slice of paradise I somehow blagged my way into staying in. The lifestyle, the people, the scenery – it still doesn’t get old.

Regarding the cafe situation, you almost certainly weren’t being scammed. It sounds far more like a misunderstanding over the size of the döner – 50g, 100g and so on – and, of course, the price changes accordingly. That sort of confusion is very easy to happen, especially if you’re not familiar with how portions are ordered.

That said, scamming in shops can happen. I’m very obviously not Turkish, although do have Turkish citizenship, and even after all these years I’ve had the odd moment. A classic example: I once went to buy a cigarette lighter in a shop in the centre and was confidently told the price was 300 lira. When I replied in near-perfect Turkish that this was completely impossible and he’d better rethink before I notified the Zabata, the look on his face was priceless. Magically, the price dropped to something from this planet.

But honestly, those moments are rare. The vast majority of people here are kind, honest and welcoming, and that’s one of the reasons I’ve stayed so long. Antalya is a wonderful place to visit – and an even better place to call home.

  10. Ways of making money is quite limited in Antalya. Good place if you come from abroad as a tourist, not so good if you are a real local. Did you know that Greenlanders came to Antalya and lived here?

  11. Unfortunately you skipped visiting tens of wonderful sightseeings from Istanbul: Kız Kulesi (Maiden Tower), Çamlıca Hill, Üsküdar, Fethipaşa Korusu, Adalar (a total of 4 Islands), Yerebatan Sarnıcı (Basicila cistern), Eyüp/Piyerloti, Galata kulesi, Bosphorus shores (Ortaköy, Rumeli Hisarı, Anadolu Hisarı etc.);

Besides you need to do a little research about the history to enjoy the trip, because you passed by the Çemberlitaş (Constantine) column which originally contained a statue of the emperor standing there since Constantine I , the first christian emperor of Rome and you barely noticed.

You even didn't check the ancient egyptian obelisks (Dikilitaş) erected by pharaohs 4k years ago, brought to Istanbul by Romans.

There are hundreds of Turkish food available but you focus on a few of them, this is not the best way to enjoy 🙂

  12. If you see a cheaper price tag on your item , then cashier asks you a higher price for it , may be they just can’t find a time to change its actual price ,because Turkiye is having very high ınflation rate even stagflation,in this case just bring them item’s price tag still attached to the shelf, they have to charge you with written price . It is very normal in Migros , in Carrefours , in chain markets ; as a Turkish granny ıt happens me almost every day❤

  13. I hate it when tourists come here and try to manipulate the price perception. You can't say it's expensive or anything like that when most of it is cheap.

Don't compare this place to other Middle Eastern countries.

  14. Welcome to my city Antalya. For sorry some restaurants are bad and scams tourists you have to search the places where local people eat it's better and cheap. If you still here or wanna come again just tell me and please become my guest. We as Turkish people like guest very much. Love from Antalya 🇹🇷🇨🇦

  15. 7:42 It's a rule in Türkiye: the price written on the sign is the valid price. They can't give you a price other than that. You can either refuse the price and ask for an explanation or you can pay and report it to the police.

  16. In the previous video you were walking around my home neighbourhood and now you're in the city where I live. You're travelling well, my friend. Lots of fun and luck to you. Enjoy.
