I want to go on a ski holiday around mid march with some friends (for the first time in the alps). Do you know if i have to go to the highest resorts (3 valleys, tignes, zermatt etc) for good snow conditions? or is it ok to go to something like alpe d'huez/les 2 alpes/val gardena? i heard they can get icy in the morning and slushy in the afternoon, because of the sun
