We traveled to Mongolia for two weeks in the end of August until mid September not knowing what to expect!

Now a few months later i am still captivated by the trip and canโ€™t wait to return to this beautiful and vast country! A country and a culture that is truly in sync with nature.

Our route took us from Ulaanbaatar to the Northern edge of the Gobi desert ๐Ÿœ๏ธ across the wide steppes of Central Mongolia and Chinggis Khaanโ€™s capital of the Mongolian Empire up North to the โ€œprovince of horsesโ€ Bulgan before returning to Ulaanbaatar.

We decided to book a fully organized self drive trip and went with our friends.

While there are modern paved roads we opted for offroad tracks, which was huge fun to drive on with a bunch of new Toyota Land Cruiser rental cars.

The offroad drives took us to stunning untouched regions and we could enjoy some beautiful camping nights with campfires under the stars.

About every second night we stayed in beautiful hotels and small boutique lodges. Each place was unique and worth staying for several days if we had the time.

Mongolia offered so many surprises from a polo match of locals kids in the middle of nowhere to fly fishing for the largest trout in the world in crystal clear waters.

Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to explore something new, recharge in nature and enjoy the feeling of freedom ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿซ
