  1. I once went to a birthday party at a German restaurant in DC & because I’m a pescatarian, there wasn’t one dish on the menu I could order. I would have been happy with vegetarian food, but, no. I just looked at the menu for the restaurant you went to with your mom & there were many options for someone like me. Nice!

  2. You're not helping the "Germans just eat meat and potatoes" stereotype that I learned about while living in the US. 😊 You can get food of this sort at traditional German restaurants there as well (though, in my case, as a Muslim, I had some other kind of meat instead of pork).
