Taken in July 2025. If you're going to Australia in July, winter in the southern hemisphere, please consider visiting this sacred and magical place. I wasn't too excited about adding a 3-night stop in this area during our 3-week trip, but this was one of the best parts of the whole trip.

  1. Uluru (Ayer's Rock) at sunset is magical
  2. The other side of this monolith
  3. The rock is not the only attraction, the endless desert is stunning
  4. There are other monoliths to explore, namely Kata Tjuta

It's a 7-mile hike around the base of Uluru and absolutely worth it. It truly feels disconnected from the world. This is a sacred place, there are many parts of the rock you are not allowed to photograph. The pictures I have shared are ones that were allowed to be taken. Do yourselves a favor and don't skip this place. Plus the stargazing is world class.
