First off this is a AI Image but its very very close to how I want it to look except it would be level with the cab. Im building myself a wooden camper shell. What are your thoughts on the overall look of a wooden shell like this? Does it look good?

This doesn’t make sense. Why would it hang over the cab if it doesn’t expand? Why wouldn’t the whole back open up vs just some of it?
Assuming those are just quirks from at as opposed to just drawing schematics which are actually accurate, what is your plan here? How are you mounting? Why are you building something that should be light out of a heavy material? Why are you building something that should be weather resistant and durable out of a material that degrades with movement and doesn’t do great in sun and rain?
