Happy new year. We did get to these two places when we started our cruise from Lisbon Thanks for showing them to us. Look forward to your travels in 2026. May they be safe and memorable 😊
I loved watching this Bob for two reasons. My late husband had a trip to Madrid before I knew him but we never got to visit together. He particularly remarked on the Prado and the Plaza Major so I was pleased to see your film of the latter, plus the beautiful parks that he loved.
Secondly I had a brief pre-flight homeward visit to Sintra in April 24 but didn’t get to see inside the Peña Palace.
Madrid royal palace is stunning, beautiful inside and outside. Madrid the city, is never at the top of my list when it comes to planning city breaks but it really should be, you’ve showcased it beautifully. Sintra railway station is lovely, those gorgeous tiles and to be rewarded by Peña palace at the end of the journey- amazing. We are lucky to have all these wonders available for us to watch – thank you 🤩
What a treat! We visited Madrid in Fall, 2021 – saw the Royal Palace, but have no video of the interiors, so it's wonderful to have your record. Just this past fall, we spent several days in Lisbon. On this trip we spent a day in Sintra and toured the Pena Palace. I've said it before, but you have a great eye for detail, color, and light..
While in Lisbon, we also stayed at the Hotel Avenida Palace and I believe were assigned the same room you had a few years ago (with a window next to one of the facade statues). We loved the building, the location, and the elegant breakfast service.
Great to see inside the Royal Palace and Pena Palace
