I took Poland’s OLDEST express train through a severe snowstorm!
This is a brutal winter journey through Poland, aboard one of PKP Intercity’s oldest long-distance trains. I’ll be travelling in a cosy First Class compartment, as the train battles through intense cold conditions on the way to Kraków.

3:45 "it seems today that all you see is intercity slop and commuter trains"
one time we were stuck in a field in something like that during similar weather xd
fantastic upbeat amd informative video. great effort on difficult Polish words!
Let me guess- You have never been in military?
Pociag dla bidoty xD
Poland has brutal winters…?
7:50 I don't know. For where I live that's like pretty expensive.
Bro is literally on every train on the world what the hell.
Hi. Unfortunately, it is not an old train. How do I know? Because I am from Poland and I rode a lot of trains in 90s and 2000s. These carriages are not older than 2000s. I think around 2003-2005 they started modernizing the trains and this was the result.
Now, whether these carriages are refurbished or new, one thing that I can say is that you have no idea how they looked in the 90s and you would not be able to tell that these are they same carriages (assuming they are refurbished).
These carriages look like the blue old communist but “renovated” Romanian carriages
This is so rubbish and this train is not from PRL is fake information, is only for views……
Just for Comparison for my fellow Americans, This would be a trip (time wise) from Cleveland, Ohio to Detroit, Michigan on Amtrak. can you guess the price difference?
Warsaw -> Krakow = 1st class ~$25 USD
Cleveland -> Detroit = Private Room ~ $225 USD
(the coach option is only $70 USD tho) 🙂
what a fucking ripoff
you're handsome ^^
Just for that video I sub'd you mate
I travelled on Polish trains extensively in the 1970s. Let me assure you, that NONE of them looked as luxurious and clean as this train. I remember worn out and dusty seats, sleeping compartments with up to 6 strangers sleeping in bunks, and in the opened compartments the seats were covered in vinyl.
Great trip. What a great pronounciation of Polish cities and words.
DAMN
LOVE POLAND ♥
In my experience, the 8-seaters are the default a lot of the time, and yes, it does get hella cramped. I also chuckled at you saying that the top racks have plenty of space for suitcases, cause I sure as hell spent several hundred hours in total with my knees being crunched by someone whose suitcase was way too big.
Really enjoyed the video . My wife and I have travelled from Krakow to Warsaw Central station. It amazes me that the train's run in those conditions. I live in South Wales a couple of weeks ago we had the threat of snow and Transport for Fails ( Wales ) cancelled the trains for the rest of the day . Pathetic isn't it . Keep up the excellent work 😊😊.
this is Snowpiercer but IRL lol
This text is complete nonsense. 0L01 The British Scale of Panic: We know that in the UK, the entire country shuts down, schools close, and trains stop because of 2 cm of snow. For us, what you call 'extreme survival' is just a Tuesday morning. We still walk our dogs and go for walks when it's -10°C without making a documentary about it.
From Warsaw you can reach international destinations like Berlin, Praha , Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava, Vilnius, Kiev. In pre-war times Moscow, Minsk ,Nice , Amsterdam, Paris ( all russian railways) If comes to 2nd class, it is quite cheap and you can book early even 4 seats for a price of 1st class. So that is a trick. Try to book 3-4 weeks before. Anyways route to Krakow via Kielce is shitty, always look for a route via Idzikowice/Włoszczowa at rozklad-pkp website
Poland is a joke transportation is a joke
Crazy snow? Dude it's a few inches! At least we finally get to see why coat hooks are in all the trains you ride!
