  1. The restaurants and hotels LOVE the Americans showing up because we can’t NOT tip. And the people who support our current leader do not generally travel abroad.

  2. First of all, I’m not gonna apologize for being loud and outgoing second of all we kind of do have rights in other countries… every tourist whose country has an embassy in the country they’re visiting have certain inalienable rights.

  3. I've never been bothered by Chinese tourists nor felt they're rude. I think it's a cultural difference. For example, whenever i met a chinese person, i always thought they're a bit cold, but i started realizing they weren't being cold. They actually were being polite, because in their mind theyre thinking i dont know you, so i'm gonna be polite and not smile as chinese people believe when strangers smile at another stranger it's considered fake (that doesn't mean you won't find a chinese person smiling at a stranger) they feel it's best to be polite and reserve, but once you get to know them you start to see their hospitality and generosity. Because that's reserved for family, close friends and trusted circles. I think that's why people from different countries interpret that behavior as rude, because to us small talk, smiling and being friendly is considered polite. I was also surprised to hear about Indians too, now i lived in Malaysia awhile back and Malay Indians can come off like that generally speaking, but any indians I met usually are warm, friendly and hospitable. As for Aussies, i don't really know much about them. Even though i live in NZ, i barely get to mingle with Aussies and the ones I've chatted with were fine.

  4. Canadian here. Australians are WAY louder then Americans. They have made places like Whistler a lot less enjoyable to go to. I have to say Americans are also a lot more polite- yes loud but remind me of the politeness you get in Canada, if not more so sometimes.

  5. Atleast with the american i'm pretty positive that i won't run into unexpected shit………………….like actual fecal matter cause good lord the chinese and indian have grudges against toilets

  6. So America is bad because we are loud? Also, don't act like you don't have some form of the bill of rights in Australia. We all copied and pasted from England and changed a couple of words.

  7. The American thing is so true, you could tired as hell on a long layover at the airport everyone’s quiet and they’re conversing so loudly it irks your soul.

  8. Every time I ask tour guides who they like leading on their groups, they always say Americans… very friendly, grateful, and always tip waaaay more than pretty much any other country, usually 2-3x what Europeans will tip their guides and complain much less. I definitely agree with the part about being loud, but nobody's perfect haha… 😉
