Amiens Walk & Cathedral

Around France in 80 Days — Day 8. Today we explored Amiens, beginning with the magnificent Cathédrale Notre-Dame d’Amiens, the largest cathedral by volume in France. We then wandered through the charming old town and the picturesque Saint-Leu district, admiring the canals that have earned Amiens the nickname Venice of the North.
A magical moment came when three swans — two adults and one young — swam right up to the bench where we were sitting. Even without a baguette to share, it was unforgettable.

As a mystery writer, I travel in search of places that could become settings for my next murder mystery. Join me on this journey across France and beyond — and help me choose.
Please share your thoughts in the comments and tell me which location from this series should inspire my next book.
