My boyfriend and I live in the Boston area. He won a rubber ducky race down a river, where his duck won first place out of 10’s of thousands of duckies. The prize is dinner for 2 anywhere in the world. They pay for the flight, 2 nights hotel, and dinner. We will pay for 5 extra hotel nights, so we’re thinking of exploring Thailand to keep it affordable. Trip will be in early April.
We are in our mid-40’s and we both used to travel quite a bit, but now we’re pretty low key. We enjoy nature, we’re not huge on crowds and I don’t drink alcohol. I love swimming.
We’re looking at Phuket, and maybe staying at hotel Indigo Phuket Patong.

We have not booked yet and I’m just casting a net to the Reddit universe to see if anyone has suggestions or thoughts/opinions on our location, hotel, or activities in this area. Thank you in advance!

For Phuket, try Kata or Karon instead of busy Patong. Phi Phi Islands are great for swimming!
Paresa Resort is amazing. Beautiful views and impeccable service. We had a private pool in our suite and there’s also a couple pools accessible to all guests, but it’s very private overall. Restaurant had great food too
