Has anyone else experienced a restaurant allowing (and seemingly encouraging) a Livestream to happen while you're trying to enjoy your meal? Those group was sat directly across from me while I was trying to enjoy a solo dinner at Kjolle in Lima. After a while I think the staff recognized my discomfort and tried to block them from my view or even give me sympathetic smiles, but this really took me out of the experience and ruined the rest of my dinner.

Otherwise the food was decent.

Yeah I wouldn’t be happy with this. They don’t seem to be dressed especially presentably either. Sad

Yup. Happened at Sushi M in Tokyo. They were invited and doing a feature for the restaurant. They were seated on the short side of L shape counter and us and other customers were in shot. Annoying as hell with the bright light, cameras, talking out loud and explaining the food. Ended up telling the influencers they do not have my permission to take my photo nor include me in any material. Other guests chimed in too. The owner/chef was a bit exasperated but realised he had not thought it through

It’s a tough call, bc from a publicity point of view you also don’t want a shitpost of your restaurant. I’m sorry it was distracting to you but it also doesn’t appear abhorrently disruptive. A big part of fine dining is trying to accommodate everyone. And the restaurant obviously can’t have a rule against filming but it would have to be about super specific camera equipment

I would be…well…pretty pissed off at this kind of BS intruding on my dinner. Not a good look for the restaurant in my opinion.

  5. That’s actually horrible and inconsiderate. I felt guilty with a few snaps on my phone or Leica but this is egregious.

He’s still at the restaurant rn livestreaming lmao. Influencers really do ruin everything, I wish you have a good time for the rest of trip 👍

And yet you still took pictures of *your* food with *your* camera, and then posted them here. In for a penny, in for a pound.

  8. idc how bad business is that day, a michelin starred restaurant should not allow this. if for nothing else — privacy.

  9. You’re the two black chicks that were dining there right? Lets help you two go viral since you want soo much attention.

That is my autistic son. I told him not to be a nuisance in public. He just started doing this streaming stuff because he has nothing going on in his life. I lent him my credit card and he chose to go to a fancy restaurant day 1. I apologize about my autistic son.

Este gringo del grupo de Ice Poseidon lleva una semana armando su circo en Perú. Le faltó el respeto a Cristian, el famoso tiktoker peruano

Taking pictures of people while fine dining ? But u have a problem with people filming while fine dining

  13. They figured out who you were and are spreading your photo everywhere. In my honest opinion you were better off not posting on reddit about it.

  14. don’t you understand this is the modern way of sharing and influencing ? boomers!

  15. I hope your cocaine addiction is better. Maybe switch to heroin or fentanyl? Maybe next time go to McDonalds.

If they aren’t making a scene or being obnoxious, I don’t see the big deal.
Businesses value promotion and the livestreamers are just doing their job…

As long as they’re not involving me or making a scene/being obnoxious, I don’t see a reason to be bothered by it lol
