Hello, im sorry I don't know where to post this. I searched cargo carrier and the camping sub had some hits.

Anyway, does this look installed correctly? Is the flatness correct?

Im just test fitting. I did not yet attach the receiver bolt.

Pictures 1 and 2 might be misleading. My driveway has a downward slope. First pic is flat on the road.

It looks like the basket bolts to the receiver and then the receiver slides into your hitch. Is that piece that sticks down at the basket another hole that you could use to mount the basket and make it level? If not I’d try unmounting the basket and rotating the receiver 180 degrees, then mount the basket again and check

  2. It’s preloaded like this to better handle the weight. The same most stock trucks come with the back slightly higher than the front.

Those things sag out once loaded. So much so that I don’t recommend them for any rough terrain or even steep driveways.

Load it up and take a drive. It’ll be flat or below that in no time. It’ll be dragging the ground after a few trips. That little amount of steel is no match for the length of the lever it’s on.

It’s probably engineered to deflect back to flat with the maximum load capacity. I like it.

Is the hitch pin in the right hole. I have a curt folding cargo basket and if you place that pin before you level the basket kinda just rests on the pin instead of through it securing it. Causing it to be slightly angled
