Hey all, I’m looking for a 2 person tent to go hiking/backpacking/ bike packing. The SIMOND MT900 is now on sale for just 199€. Is this a steal or would you advice any other tent?
How big are the two people? How much do they like to snuggle?

Are you actually taking 2 people, or is this just for you?
That tent has a tapered foot area, so it’s even snugger than a typical two person tent.
I’m also confused by the floor in the vestibule area – is that attached to the tent body, or maybe the footprint? Either way, seems like a bad idea as it could catch water and direct it inwards if it’s not perfectly covered by the vestibule.
The tent is also rather heavy despite it’s small floor area, which is gonna be a pain when backpacking.

Every tent is a 2 person tent if y’all sleep vertically!

My rule of thumb is to get a tent twice the size. 2 people means you need a 4 person tent.

Upgrade size if car camping. If backpacking or riding you’re going to want the reduced weight. You’ll also have less gear

For 2 people you need a three person tent.
