Antibes,France Riviera,Walking Tour in the old city,4k video,
Antibes is a city between Cannes and Nice on the French Riviera. It is known for its historic center, surrounded by 16th-century ramparts and the star-shaped Fort Carré.
With its golden beaches, charming old town, ancient walls, and the famous Picasso Museum, the city enchants every visitor. The port of Antibes, one of the largest in the Mediterranean, hosts impressive yachts and offers picturesque views. Ideal for those seeking culture, relaxation, and timeless charm, Antibes is an authentic pearl of the French Riviera.
We begin our tour from the Esplanade du Pré des Pêcheurs and the city’s splendid marina, then, through Rue Thuret, we enter the city’s oldest historic center, passing through the city gate.
Once we reach the end of the street and Place Nationale with its bars and various shops, we continue along Rue de la Republique to the gardens of Place des Martyrs de la Résistance and Place Guynemer, then along Rue Fourmillière and Rue de Fersen, before turning onto Rue James Close and Rue des Bains at the Porte de l’Orme, which takes us to the splendid seaside promenade, Promenade Amiral de Grasse, from which we can admire the splendid bay facing the city.
We continue along the Promenade, passing by the Château Grimaldi, home to the Van Gogh Museum, and the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de l’Immaculée Conception d’Antibes. Descending the Promenade, we arrive at the Marché Provençal square, and along Rue Sade we re-enter the maze of alleys of the old town, all the way to the Place Nationale. We pass in front of the Antibéa Comédie d’Antibes, and along Rue George Clemenceau and Course Massena, we reach Rue Aubernon. From here, we walk back up to Place du Revely and return to the Promenade to admire the city beaches. We then return to the old town via Rue Aubernon and Boulevard d’Aguillon, Rue Thuret, Place Nationale, and Rue James Close. Losing ourselves in the labyrinth of alleys in the old town, full of shops, boutiques, bars, and restaurants, we return to the Marché Provençal, where we end our tour.
