Crabs, Coffee & Chaos: My Last 24 Hours in Cambodia

Today, I’m taking you through the vibrant Kep Crab Market. There’s something incredible about the energy here—watching the wooden crab pots being hauled from the Gulf of Thailand while I wait for my final Cambodian feast.
After the food coma settled in, it was time to get serious. I had to track down a printer to finally get my 3-month Vietnam Visa on paper. Holding that document makes the next 90 days feel very real! It’s the end of one chapter and the frantic preparation for the next.
    Inside this episode:
The Crab Market Experience: Fresh catch, local prices, and world-famous pepper.
Pre-Border Prep: Why I chose a 3-month visa and the mission to get it printed.
Final Reflections: How I’m feeling about leaving Cambodia after an incredible stay.

Visa Printing: If you’re in Kep/Kampot, I found a spot at in Kep to print documents.

    1. Hi Tom, I would like to recommend a few books for you: "The Demon-Haunted World" by Carl Sagan, "The Conspiracy Against the Human Race" by Thomas Ligotti. Wish you the best!

    2. Maybe dust or air pollution. We don't have any flights going over us here in Kerala and live in the countryside but the sky often looks hazy like that. ❤

    3. You'll miss Cambodia. Great idea to get a proper, longer term visa and settle for a while. Even that will go pretty quick. My 4 months in Thailand flashed past and now back in Cyprus. You are doing well and producing good quality stuff, which is very informative as well as fun. Thanks pal.

    4. I find it quite amusing, how you worry about a bit of Fluoride in your toothpaste!
But then you happily smoke cigarettes and cannabis all day long!!
Makes absolutely no sense to me!!
I'd say smoking 'anything' is probably the most POISONOUS thing you could ever do!!

    5. You aren't wrong. A place in Bradford was raided by the police. It had £47 million worth of firearms inside. Someone is building an army. MI5 reported a couple of years ago that ghost ships, ships that turn off their GPS trackers off the coast were shipping in good knows what. Things are potentially going to get spicy.

    6. Next time you come back to Cambodia, don’t get the 30 day tourist-Visa, so you can stay longer. Get the E-visa… aka Ordinary Visa, renewable E-Visa. Infinite,… without hassle. Same price. Long term more enjoyable. So you can adapt.

    7. I have use only banking soda to brush my teeth for the last 20 years and rinsing my mouth out with peroxide afterwards and haven’t had any problems! ✌🏻

    8. Yeah, your comment about appreciating where you are when you were swimming , I was in SE Asia and a couple of times I had to remind myself of being back home working on construction sites, dreaming of being on a beach in SE Asia, sometimes you need to appreciate where you are…..

    9. Loving your adventures out there, Tom. If you were to settle for a long term period, where would you prefer to stay. Vietnam, Cambodia or Bali?

    10. Hello,jello princess..
      I love your madness.
      Science,no.
      Reality,nanamam. No such thing.
I cannot believe you travelled upon a chemist trail vehicle to get there…should of used a canoe.
      Tooth brushes?
Crazy westerner. Use a aboz tree stick.
The internal combustion engine – suck, squeeze, bang, blow, sucks the life out of your testees via it's battery under your seat..

    11. Did you ever manage to successfully contact the army of the Twelve Monkeys?

And how much cash is your mommy bear sending you monthly,to sustain your fantastic, sorry.fantasy?
