    We Swapped Santorini for Lefkada… Was It Worth It? – Ep88

    This week we’re taking you with us on our full trip to Lefkada, the Greek island we chose instead of Santorini.

    After seeing how busy Santorini can be, we decided to look for a quieter Greek island with beautiful beaches, mountain villages, traditional food, peaceful views and a bit more space to explore. Lefkada gave us all of that, plus some of the bluest water we’ve ever seen.

    In this longer holiday special, we explore Lefkada Town, Agios Nikitas, Kathisma Beach, Nidri Waterfalls, Sivota, Milos Beach, Karya, Megali Petra, Avali, a private boat trip, Siflogo Winery, Alexandros and one final sunset from our villa.

      We swapped the crowds of Santorini for a quieter week on Lefkada… and honestly, we weren’t sure if we’d made the right choice at first 😅

      Hi guys! Welcome to my country! Lefkada was a great choice, I'm so glad that you liked the island and had good time there. All Ionian islands are beautiful and everyone is unique and has its character. Santorini is also unique and beautiful but it's better to visit until May and from September because it's very crowded during summer. Greetings from another beautiful Greek area, Halkidiki peninsula. 🙂

My only question is what happened to the promised insight on the inside of the villa itself but I will forgive you for that omission.       The plants at the TLC house are Acanthus mollis and I only know that because it's growing in a friends garden in Holland (and I also like to potter around in the garden)😊

      Fantastic video. Your filmography skills are outstanding. I know it’s not what you were aiming for, but if you added booking details costs etc and how to get to the island it would have added something for potential Greek island holidaymakers. Perhaps further commissioned holiday tourist guides await?

      Dawyck botanic gardens near us, and the one near Stranraer called Logan are both lovely to visit!
