Cannes Beyond the Red Carpet — Day Trip from Nice / Walking Tour & Travel Guide French Riviera 4K

Red carpet. Film festival. Luxury hotels. But is Cannes actually special — or just another French Riviera city living off its reputation?

I spent a full day in Cannes to find out. And the answer surprised me.

In this video I take you through my full day: from a coffee at KNOT Bakehouse on the red carpet, to the history and honest take on the Palais des Festivals, a walk through Le Vieux Port, a ferry to Île Sainte-Marguerite (more on that in the next video!), dinner in the streets around the old port, and finally up to Le Suquet — the historic quarter where Cannes actually began over 2,500 years ago.

🚂 GETTING THERE: Train from Nice — 30 to 40 minutes, frequent and easy.
WHERE TO EAT: Avoid the Croisette. Head to the streets around Le Suquet and the old port — better food, better prices.
FERRY TO THE ISLAND: Check the timetable before you go. Plan your whole day around the return journey.
BEST TIME: Morning at the port, golden hour at Le Suquet.
