Wild Coast of the Giens Peninsula | Full Walking Tour in Hyères, French Riviera (4K)

Experience a 75-minute 4K walking tour on the Giens Peninsula (Presqu’île de Giens) in Hyères, France. This real-time coastal walk follows the famous Sentier du Littoral along the wild Mediterranean coastline of the French Riviera, passing hidden beaches, dramatic cliffs and panoramic sea views.

The Giens Peninsula is one of the most remarkable natural landscapes on the French Riviera. Connected to the mainland by two narrow sandbars known as a double tombolo — a rare geological formation found in only a handful of places around the world — this rugged peninsula offers a wilder and quieter side of the Côte d’Azur.

In this 4K walking tour, we explore the coastal trails of Giens, following the Mediterranean shoreline through hidden beaches, rocky cliffs, fragrant pine forests and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the sea. Far from the crowded resorts of the Riviera, this walk reveals a landscape shaped by wind, salt, and centuries of interaction between nature and the sea.

Our route begins near La Madrague and follows scenic sections of the Sentier du Littoral toward Pointe des Chevaliers. Along the way, we pass secluded coves, crystal-clear waters, dramatic viewpoints overlooking Porquerolles and the Golden Islands, and quiet stretches of coastline where the sounds of waves and cicadas replace the noise of everyday life.
This walk is perfect for anyone who loves coastal landscapes, slow travel, nature, and discovering lesser-known places beyond the famous destinations of the French Riviera.

I created this channel to share places that invite us to slow down and notice the details that often go unseen. Sometimes the most memorable experiences aren’t found in famous landmarks, but in a quiet path above the sea, the scent of pine trees carried by the wind, and the changing colors of the Mediterranean under the afternoon sun.
