The Most Overstimulating City I’ve Traveled To
https://tibet.net/ resource mentioned by the man at the market.
I went into more detail in the previous episode about how awful this hotel was but it really took everything out of me. For the first two days I was just cooped up in the disgusting, dingy, dark room trying to numb my senses with youtube and ordering takeout. The problem is, that during the day, it is excruciatingly hot. Like 38c while the sun is out. Therefore no one is really going out and they only awaken to party, which like I mentioned, is not our vibe.
What I should’ve done is go more south, where locals actually live and there’s more vegetation which helps control the heat. But by this point we had spent so much money getting to India. I wanted to be frugal and make the most of the area the bus was dropping us off in.
After Covid, this area had a massive boom. Prices skyrocketed, but the infrastructure hasn’t kept up. I reckon that’s why everything is overpriced. There were also soo many Russians, due to visa restrictions from Western countries. Next episode will be much much more relaxed and in fact everything I hope to get out of Goa.
